Someone posted awhile back a typical McCartney setlist. Was that in this thread?
I don't think I'm familiar with his non-Beattles stuff and I want to get a feel for what he plays. That said, I probably know his songs and just don't realize it.

Honestly hearing him tell stories about how he's using the same guitar for Yesterday as he did on the Ed Sullivan show and how he was basically sh*tting his pants leading up to the performance make seeing him worth it. Then you just get a bonus 2.5-3 hours of excellent music.

The Pinkpop article does NOT read that an American festival booked him the SAME weekend.
It reads "American festivals seem like a more popular choice for Paul"
But doesn't mean that it isn't possible.
My google translation has the article saying:
"However, the advent of Green Day announced earlier. Smeets also said that negotiations with Paul McCartney ricocheted. "American festivals seem to have something more important," said the Pinkpop boss."
So is Google translation wrong and there is absolutely no mention of "festivals" in the original language? EDIT: I see your translation now....gotcha.
It doesn't say "He was booked for a festival instead" but the idea that he can't play the European festival because "American festivals seem to have something more important" is definitely pointing int he right direction.
