The under-card does make probably the biggest difference. I would like to see a lot of stuff. I would be pleasantly surprised and excited about Sufjan Stevens, Lauryn Hill, Edie Brickell, Local Natives, Santana, Jeff Mangum, Van Morrison, The Lumineers, Michael Kiwanuka, Japandroids, and The Steeldrivers.
The Joy Formidable quickly became one of my favorite bands of all-time and I met them at DeLuna. Really nice guys and gal, would love to see them again. Gaslight Anthem was absolutely great too, would like to see them as well. I'd dig The Airborne Toxic Event, Johnny Marr, Best Coast (been really into them lately), Dinosaur Jr., Modest Mouse, Death From Above 1979, Bad Religion, 3, Chromeo, NOFX, Dr. John, Reverend Horton Heat.
Actually, I don't even know any bands that would play mayhem festival- the point I was light-heartedly making was that they're not the type of band for Hangout.
Motorhead was a mayhem fest last year and at hangout in 2011. Slayer confirmed. Dear Lord Satan, make it so.
I don't follow this thread so this may not really be news to y'all but i thought it was worth sharing. I know a guy whose cousin, or something like that, works pretty high up in the Hangout business and he told me that the lineup would be coming out within the next week. Again, sorry if this isn't necessarily breaking news.
just lol @ both gophish and surfbum flaming each other on this page, while both being wrong, and thinking of the wrong band. and i can laugh cause i used to make the same mistake. just to set both of you straight.

We are getting Sufjan'd. No Illinoisemakers unfortunately (schmaybe?!?!), but the Planetarium mess is not coincidence.
sorry this is me being lazy, but did we cover the announcement of Sasquatch's lineup on Monday. Over the last few years they have shared at least one headliner. 2011- Foos and The Flips; 2012- Jack White. I think we might know a headliner tomorrow.
Is Mumford's announcement on Tuesday and great way to wait after Sasquatch and raise speculation for HO and Roo? Or could the shared headliner be KoL, starting to drink the KoL-aide on the southern based band.
My reasoning is this- HO has had only one non-american born headliner- DMB- the South African might as well be American. So for HO to go from mostly all American headliners to none considering Macca, Muse, and Mum, seems out of HO tendencies. I buy KoL more than Muse when taking the history of HO in consideration. Mum fits the HO demo perfectly. Macca is Macca, you take him everytime.
I am changing my top line to Macca- Mum- KoL (prefer Muse because KoL was boring as shizz in Nashville and Muse wasn't, maybe Caleb will have more energy now being off the drugs)

Nationality doesn't mean ish. As long as its good music and they don't put a Kennedy daughter up on stage during a southern rock show, everything will be fine.

I doubt they'd wait and put it off because of the speculation aspect. A lot of people are still asking for DMB to headline- I really don't think they'd make the connection between Sasquatch and Hangout.
Yea, they put them up on their website this morning. They are touring the weekend of Hangout, but up in Detroit and Kansas City on their way to Sasquatch.
FUUUUCK Mumford, Of Monsters and Men, Lumineers, Imagine Dragons, etc. Pick one. No need for more than one to be at a music festival. Also...please, god, no! consequenceofsound.net/2013/02/fall-out-boy-reunite-to-save-rock-and-roll/ 05/17 – Columbus, OH @ LC Pavilion 05/21 – Pittsburgh, PA @ Stage AE

I am with you on that. Imagine all of the screaming 14 year olds. od help us all.
no way, no no no way they wouldn't do that to us. They dont hate us, they're waiting forever but they don't hate us, right?? FOB no way no no no no
Edit:: right as i posted that, i thought: switchfoot was there last year. FOB may take their spot. if FOB and GD are on this lineup, the mayans were right.
I doubt Fall Out Boy is gonna drive from Ohio down to the coast then back up to PA. Colombus is like two hrs from PA. They'll prob just do an extra show up in the Lakes area.
