So I ran into my usual sourcey source I haven't seen in a long time tonight. They told me this year they have a hardcore confidentiality clause going on and that's why we haven't heard anything. This person has told me what was up since before the lineup came out the first year.
This person is a very hetty individual and they told me "it's going to be epic this year", and that was it. Knowing said person for a very long time, I'm f'n stoked now.

Will this be the year hangout has better headliners than Coachella... and Roo?
Thats all about opinion, man. I think Coachella is a year late on the "Get RHCP to headline your fest" trend (but what can I say I saw them 3x last year and loved it)....I don't know if it will be better/worse, but we're seeing music on the beach, and then sleeping in a bed, and thats pretty f'n cool
With lips this tight, its bound to be a sick headline set
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
So, we can asusme we are less than 2 weeks from the lineup release if they do it roughly the same time. I enjoyed the way they did the release last year with a block of artists at a time.
5/25: Dillinger Escape Plan
5/30: Andrew W.K. w/ Tony Clifton
6/1: Big Boi w/ Killer Mike
6/13-16: BONNAROO
6/29: Bob Dylan, Wilco, MMJ
6/30: The Grandmothers of Invention
7/11: Seinfeld
7/20: Living Colour
8/1: Mastodon w/ Machine Head
8/7: Melvins
9/5: Iron Maiden w/ Megadeth
10/2: The Legendery Pink Dots
11/1-3: VOODOO
11/14-17: BEAR CREEK
Tom Petty has a huge block of dates available. I have never seen him live, but wasn't impressed with his Super Bowl halftime performance a few years back. Anyone seen him?

The last time I saw him was in 94-95 (Wildflowers tour) and it was absolutely fantastic. He totally rocks. He would be amazing on the beach. Really. Hangout would be lucky to have him. Hopefully Sunday night. DMB was a snoooooooozer last year.
EDIT:
By the way, this is an outside shot for me again this year. I hadn't planned on going, but if the lineup is as stellar as I think it may be, I might just figure out a way to get there.
Is there anyone looking for 2 more spots in their condo? Audra and I shared with Bonzai last year, but she is going to Wanee instead this time

Two different people at the Keller Williams show last night told me that they've heard Paul McCartney is headlining. I refuse to believe this until the lineup drops.
