There's just been no info concerning whether or not Petty is even touring this year is all. Phish looks unlikely now because TAB is playing summer camp the week after hangout, and phish summer tour won't start until after that. So it just seems highly unlikely Phish does a one off show just for hangout.

Does anyone have a solid reason to expect phish other than its their 30th? On the other end....anybody got a clue of reggae acts....would love Easy star all stars, 10 ft. Ganja, John browns body
Popular rumors has a Phish festival at the end of July, as well as a short Fall run. So I'm thinking July tour > Festival X, then short Fall run end of November > beginning of December, then MSG NYE. May/June will be for solo acts. I hope MGB does some shows near me, Bonnaroo would be awesome as well. I'm a bit weary of TAB. Don't get me wrong, its a great show, but once you've seen it, you've seen it.
Avetts are not a top 3 headliner, so don't interchange them with Phish please. Green Day can play three hours (2.5 hours at lolla in 2010)- so I think they are very possible as the Sunday night 3 hour act. TAB, MOE are the top "jam" bands. I still think the top three looks like this
Green DAy- THe Killers/Mumford- Muse
Still not sure about Muse, but their sch is interesting.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest

If you're right about that I will not be attending. Going from cheese, dmb, and rhcp to greenday, muse, and killers makes absolutely no sense at all. That's a warp tour/Lola lineup
I think there is a chance of Furthur playing. Phil is still down for touring apparently they have 8 shows scheduled they could festi hop or do an I10 run to the East Coast before doing a Beacon Run.
Looking at the potential headliner pool makes me happy that Hangout hasn't had completely unopposed headliners the past couple years. Keep in mind even if the headliners blow you can always go see STS9 at the dance tent. I know its not much solace but its something.
Pleeeeese no Green Dookie Day................I could do without the Flips again this year as well.
The clock is ticking on Further so you would assume they're trying to get them and I hope they do. All those Panic dates in the Gulf seems impossible...wanee, wharf, biloxi and jazz?, but I would think TAB is due to repeat before WS.....Crowes are playing Jazz Fest. Has anyone kept up with how many, if any, acts from jazz fest have ever played the Hangout that same year?

Man. Some of y'all are really down on this year. Some of these guesses are just terrible. No way I see the fest going that low. Petty seems more likely than Mumford.

Wanee is 5-6 hrs from Orange Beach so it's not that crazy. The Wharf run is happening. Biloxi is on the way to Jazzfest so it's easy money and plenty of people will be doing that whole run so ticket sales will do just fine, especially considering Hard Rock is 1700 tickets. Jazzfest is def happening, they are the Thursday headliner for locals day. I would count on Down On the Bayou IV happening at Howlin' Wolf that night as well. They didn't play NOLA at all in 2011 (BS). NOLAween should be going down the two days before Voodoo as well. Remember the Boys have been on hiatus and they are going to show the Dirty South some love.
I really hope we get Furthur. They get me off harder than any other touring band right now.
Pretty sure Flaming Lips are out: 05/20 – London, UK @ Roundhouse 05/21 – London, UK @ Roundhouse Praise Satan. 3 years in a row in that spot would have sent me over the edge. Give that spot to QOTSA.
What's the point when we already know our dreams are going to be sh!t on by this lame family festival on the beach?
Ain't gonna be no Phish this year, no late nights without having to drive to f'n orange beach, less funk/jam every year and hardly no metal/punk, no gulf access while inside the festival, not enough shade unless you're VIP.
DeLuna slayed Hangout last year in every way possible. I hope they do it again this year and I also hope that Midtown gets the same headliners again so that we have a huge empty beach to rage while enjoying an awesome lineup.
Totally agree on Deluna. Possibly the most fun I had at a festival last year. And they had a Foosackly's truck. The shizzy Travelodge across the street had it going on.
^^ We stayed in Pcola proper at the Daze Inn/Big Sleazy Tavern. Shuttle'd to the festi then raged late night shows at Vinyl. Fishbone first night Dumpsta 2nd night woooot
I hope Mule plays Hangout. Sick of Warren Haynes Band.
The Roots Grizzly Bear Big Boi FlyLo (Captain Murphy?) Frank Ocean
All of them will be touring heavily, probably doing plenty of festival dates, so I'd say they're all realistic. It's kind of depressing that I couldn't think of a realistic headliner I'd be excited about, but a strong enough undercard could still sell me.
Fishbone is the shitt!!! Incredible live band. The Deluna after show had like 15 people there it was so much fun. We have them playing in Mobile on Fat Tuesday, gonna be a megarager.
I'll check them out. Guessing maybe 75-100 will be at the show here. Cool venue, GREAT sound system. New place, and they had Hundred Waters as their grand opening party, which incidentally I could see at hangout. They were amazing.
Are ya'll serious about Deluna being a better fest? If so, why?....other than being able to go in the ocean which would make Hangout so much better.,,,,and late nights of course...i actually wish the music didn't start until 3 or 4.
Just read that Beck has an album in the can.........Alice in Chains at Beale St.
And I second the 10ft Ganja request. Those guys are top notch.

In 2012, on top of all of those other things that I mentioned, the lineup for DeLuna was better. My statement was not a general statement regarding the two fests...it was comparing my specific experiences in 2012. I didn't make it to DeLuna in 2011.
Deluna 2012>2011, mainly because the first night of Deluna 2011 was super lame. Cake was godawful "cmon everyone sing along! Now just the ladies on this side! Now the fellas!" *PUKE* Weezer headlined that night and were tight but Weezer post Blue Album does nothing for me. They did an awesome cover of Paranoid Android that caught me by surprise though. There were less people at DeLuna 2011 because the headliner Linkin Park cancelled like bitchess last minute, which kept all the Navy derd and budlight bro levels to a minimum.
The Saturday of DeLuna '11 was fuckkking unreal. Big Boi>New Pornographers>Infamous Stringdusters>Papa Grows Funk>The Shins>Jane's Addiction>Ghostland Observatory. One of the best festi days ever.
Crowd isn't nearly as cool as Hangout but you go with a crew and rage it and it doesn't matter. The LEOS at DeLuna that year were hilarious. These kids next to me were smoking a J before Jane's and this obvious UC pops up wearing a walmart Bob Marley tie dye all trying to look like a hobo or something. He used a prospector voice and said "heyyyyyyyy hippppies! Y'all have any kinnnd buddss for sale?!?!!?" Saw that same guy during Rebirth Brass Band at Deluna 2012 using his radio to get the uniform'd boys to roll in. I got him with a "heyyyyyyy hipppiee!!" when he walked by he cracked the fuckk up because he knew how funny his schtick was.
The thing I like about Deluna is that you can basically do what you want. And even though I enjoyed the lineup just fine at Hangout, between the dogs at the entrance and the bros making sure they have enough elbow room there, Deluna was just more relaxed to me. I'm sure part of that is the fact that there were no big crowds, even at the headliners, for Deluna.
