In all seriousness, Blur would probably be a major get....I mean, they're playing Coachella and that's it (as of right now). Stone Roses would be fantastic too.

Absolutely agree, and they "fit the mold" more than another legacy act does. let's all just pretend its blur until it gets unblurred
opinion: no on the eagles, tom hetty and the eagles on the same bill for a relatively small fest seems a bit farfetched, and didn't they just play jazz fest?
hey elev8...where ya at pal, feel like trollin' get this ball rollin, with dude on top of it we will know by the evening haha

This reminds me of the time when you could smoke in restaurants. My sisters and I would be getting impatient waiting for the food and my Dad would light "the magic cigarette"...without fail the food would be out before the cigarette was finished.
We were to naive at the time to realize that he waited so long to actually pull out and light the magic cigarette that the food HAD to come out by then unless the kitchen had exploded. Later on, it made sense why he always refused to light the magic cigarette the minute we placed our order........

EDIT:: I find it important to put this DISCLAIMER on this thread- none of this is my personal opinion on who will or will not play the fest, I have NO sources that have lead me to believe that these dates are important...they're just dates.

Ps: Fwiw I have been listening judiciously to 92zew and they have made no mention of the third headliner release aside from saying that it is yet to be determined...
I've heard Lumineers now. If it was as concrete as I was told then I feel like an announcement would have been made. So, I'll calmly saunter, head down, back to the "No Clue" Crew.

Thanks for providing the info, no matter how speculative.
But going from the last line to headliner in one year seems like a leap, no?
If HO landed Sound City players (Rick Springfield, Stevir Nick, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Novilsec) and maybe guest appearances from Trent Reznor and Josh Homme, I'd have to say that would be a big get. It's nice to dream but I doubt it.

I spelled Stevie Nicks incorrectly (damn IPhone) but I forgot about John Fogerty and I guess they are playing SXSW so you never know.
Van Halen announced a few days ago out of the blue they are doing a big festival date in Australia on April 20th. They may could be an out of left field replacement. As for who I would like to see that is reasonable I would like an outside the box pick that is "worth the wait." I know that is broad but my inclination would be towards a rare American festival act like Van Halen or Prince. There are several major names still available schedule wise but it will interesting to see what musical genre they go with to fill that final lead spot.
No Stevie Nicks if we get the SCP.... Fleetwood's in Europe at that time. Maybe Tom Petty can take her place; he doesn't play on the soundtrack but he is interviewed in the movie, and since he's already gonna be there.... Maybe they can play deep cuts off of Damn The Torpedoes. That'd be cool
I wish Hangout would just announce Mumford & Sons already so I can be spared from having to read all the stupid/unrealistic predictions for the third headliner when I click "Recent Posts."
