As for my update: I hate how I can be into someone, and once they start messing up grammar/spelling (of simple words) I'm over it.... Am I searching for something wrong? Too picky? Ugh.
Not too picky if it's important to you! I'm sure there are other areas you allow more flexibility on that others might not. I find it to be a turn off as well.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Caught feelings quickly drop for me when people type with "u" "ur", etc. So I understand and am with you, Schultz!
I get disappointed when anyone (a potential caught feeling or just friends) has bad spelling or grammar. I especially hate abbreviations in texts. Once in a while is fine...if you're in a hurry (or if you txt while driving like Bonnie ) but if you ALWAYS use "ur" then I get bothered.

Oh man, anybody here who's texted with me can attest to the fact that I often use way-too-proper grammar in texts and also have a proclivity for loooooong ass texts that are several parts long. Sometimes it just takes four texts to explain what I'm talking about, haha.
Here's the funny part. I bought tickets to Hangout last year for me and this girl I was seeing at the time. Well, about a week after securing a room with Bonzai and her sister and Eric, the girl did something dumb, so I Broomed her. I told Bonzai "don't worry, I'll have someone to bring" pretty much convinced I'd find someone worthwhile to take.
It's been a year and we were planning out our summer (obv including festivals) a couple of days ago.
This DISEASE you all call "caught feelings"? Gets worse every day.
As far as the sleeping with friends discussion, as far as im concerned there are only a few people off limits:
1) friends exes. Even if it was a one nighter. 2) roommates 3) your hairdresser 4) your bartender (at the place you often go) 5) your landlord
Friend doesn't make the list, so get it in all you like. And like Bonzai says, keep it to your self when you start dating someone.

I admire your kindness and optimism, Nick, but I'm with those who say that once I make my feelings clear and they go unrequited, it's pretty hard to go back to friendship. I think it depends on the person, though. So if you can handle that NoD, more power to you.
I think it has a lot to do with the relationship, possibly even more than the people. I've definitely been in situations where after everything is on the table that relationship is done. Maybe that means there isnt something worth keeping? I've also been in the situation where you make your feelings known have huge earth shattering fights about it and get over your shiz. I few years back a friend and I started hooking up. I was totally in to her, but had liked one of her friends when we met. When I told her I wanted her she said no. We fought like crazy for about three weeks around every aspect of our relationship, but that meant all our cards were on the table. There's nothing the other person is hiding and we're better friends for it. I think the relationship just has to be able to weather all the nonsense and start off in a place where you're going to be willing to confront it all, VERY LOUDLY.
