Too much of a pure offensive player for my taste. I prefer my sports figures to have a little more grit to them. Given your Sanchez love though, I would assume you like the pretty boys.
I don't care what SFA says, I caught a feeling for Chipper way back in the 90's. And I'm not a redneck nor am I from Georgia.
NoD. The internet is your friend. Find some average looking down to earth girls who are into music and books. You will strike out A LOT. Just learn to cope with rejection, eventually you will find the right one.
For a long time I was scared shizless to approach random girls. But when you talk to them and get to know them a little, it's not so bad. Especially when you do some research on girls first and get the awkward approaching phase where actually approaching them is limited.
There's more advice I can give, but it'll bring like 10 dislikes in the next hour.

Excellent advice, my friend. Girls like this are the BEST girls to talk to/date/love, etc., IMO. The same logic applies to guys. Find someone who shares your passions, then share them together.

Personally, I disagree with this.
I've had both "types". People that share my passions and ones that don't. The ones that do share them, it's really intense. You find a person that is everywhere you are. Its really hard if/when you break up because they are always there. In your face to remind you, you're not together anymore.
The ones I loved the most are the the ones that had absolutely no clue as to what I'm into. It never got stale. I'd find myself having different life experiences that I wouldn't typically have.

^ Yeah, I know what you mean about the "intense" part & sharing your passions, but common interests are a MUST for me.
It's funny...while cleaning earlier, I found a list of the traits the "Perfect Guy" (for me, at least) possesses. Granted, there's no such thing as perfect, but if I could magically create one, here's what he'd be like:
1. Intelligent (not over-educated, but an insatiable thirst for knowledge) 2. Passionate about music & books 3. Warm-hearted 4. Communicative/good listener 5. Honest/trustworthy 6. Tech-savvy/geeky 7. Great sense of humor 8. Thoughtful/expressive (esp. w/"the little things") 9. Loyal to friends & family 10. Patient (no raging temper) 11. No major addictions 12. Clean-cut (minimal ink/piercings/etc.) 13. Cultured/well-traveled 14. Supports the arts (esp. public radio & indie films/documentaries) 15. Loves animals (esp. dogs) 16. Loves good food (esp. ethnic cuisines), coffee, beer & wine 17. Healthy living/loves the outdoors/active (but not a freak about it) 18. Not a rabid sports fanatic 19. Liberal-minded/politically aware & informed 20. Committed to beliefs/ideals 21. Divorced/no kids 22. Employed (but doesn't travel constantly for work) 23. Appreciates solitude (esp. my need for it) 24. Night owl 25. Loves unconditionally
This list was written YEARS AGO, and I've only met 2 guys in my entire life who have >75% of these traits. And no, "handsome" or "rich" aren't listed because those aren't as important. They're just the icing on the cake.
Based on this list, it looks like I'll be single a lonnnnnng time!
Jesus Christ, holls. I used to have a list like that then I narrowed it down to 1 rule:
1) Makes me laugh and smile.
Anything past that is just a plus.
hahahaha, GL! This is my PERFECT GUY! If all I wanted was somebody to make me laugh, I'd date a stand-up comic who loves country music & watches NASCAR. (Actually, considering my location, that's a far more attainable goal.)
I've been told repeatedly to lower my standards. What can I say? If you're gonna dream, then dream big!
Really, now: who plays the lottery hoping to win only ten bucks?

And I won't ever tell you to go against your standards. They are what they are for a reason. I've just learned that everything else is malarky, to me, unless that person can make me laugh. If they can't .. there really is no point.
I used to dream about finding someone, when I was in my 20's, that fit a lot of what you said. I realized, in short, that I was missing out. Nobody could ever fit my criteria. I wasn't being fair to anyone else (or myself, for that matter).
I know these rules can be broken (and I'm sure they have) on a person-by-person case. I would just allow myself the possibility of falling for someone outside of those parameters.
They ARE out there. You just have to find each other.

If a guy has 16 of the 25, is he worthwhile? 18? 20?
^ABSOLUTELY! If I hadn't been lucky enough to have found 2 guys (the only ones I ever truly loved) who had nearly ALL these traits, then I'd definitely give up hope & adopt a dozen cats! Yeah...16 ain't too shabby. But why settle for 16 when you could have 20? Or, heaven forbid, all 25?
Bottom line: "The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of." ~Blaise Pascal "The logic of the heart is absurd." ~Julie de Lespinasse (that crazy 18th-century French writer chick who died of a broken heart...her rose-colored glasses *definitely* needed Windex!)
Maybe I'll just get a puppy. Dogs are capable of #25, even if the trade-off is that they eat my shoes. It's all about compromise, huh?
I say because, the guy might have most of the traits you want - he still could be an jerkstore. He may not want much to do with you. Or be flakey. You never know what might come along. Maybe someone with 16 treats you real well and gives you tons of love and respect. But if you chase 24 that's kind of an jerkstore and just uses you for killing time...

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Oh, man...this is embarrassing. I feel like you need to explain the context of that, Bonnie . Just so that all of Inforoo doesn't think I'm some big sleazebag perv...might be too late for that, though.
To clarify, this was actually in regards to our height. He would let me borrow a few inches of his height (if it were possible) so that I can see the stage when in a tent.. It came out completely wrong and completely funny.
