Also don't expect everyone to want to see/do the same things- if you are all new just make sure there are "meet-up" places or a buddy system. Roo should be a fun time for ALL.
Truer words are rarely spoken! Beale St. Music Fest was ruined by an immature girl of 26 that lost her shiz because a couple other people in our group wanted to split off for a bit. How crazy is that? I will walk off without a second though to see what I want and track my people down later. I consider it training for the apocalypse.
Music fuels us as we continue to conquer the battlefields of boredom and artistic freedom.

Oy Lads and Lass's. First timer here and I'm really looking forward to it. Once Im set up and good and ready is there anything in particular I need to do first? Also I'm coming in with a "groop" mad up mostly of first timers to Bonnaroo. They all go to "Burning Man" type events. Truly excited

Figure out where your campsite is so you can stumble back there in the wee hours of the morning.
By no means are this activity and missschulze's suggestion mutually exclusive.
Definitely learn where your campsite is! Also, try to wander around Centeroo sober. I didn't know how Centeroo was laid out, and when it was time to leave I was too drunk to figure it out. I wandered around for an hour before I finally asked someone who worked there. I mean, it was fun! ...But I was le tired.

I'd also check out the map they give you at the tollbooth just to figure out where your campsite is in relation to centeroo, find where your campsite's showers, water, ice, food vendors and portos are. I brought a marker to draw where I was on the map and how to get back to camp if I was too quacked up.
Roo virgin and I'm stoked! Volunteering post show, anyone else?
Last year I volunteered for my first time and it was a blast! I'm volunteering again this year, pre show this time...your in luck since you don't have to work til after Roo so you don't have to miss any music!

Last year was my first Roo, and only my second music festival (first was the month before in Memphis). Even though there were some challenges my first year, it was amazing. I am going back by myself, if that tells you anything. Get ready for an experience of a lifetime, seriously.
