Long story short, Dad reserved an RV at some company months ago. Called to confirm some details, they went out of business two months ago, never said anything took his money/ran.
Roo is a family event for us, my Dad, my sisters, and me. This will be the 4th year in a row we have been.
First two years we did the RV thing, last year we got an onsite tent, which was good, but a little hot for my dad during the night.
So basically looks like we will be doing the General Admission camping for the first time ever...barring any other miraculous solution. There are no RV's available within 8 hours of bonnaroo. So we will see how it goes this year. Any advice? How much space do we have to set up? Enough for a big mutli person tent? or just a few smaller ones?
Really just wanted to vent... Bonnaroo is always great, but damn, it also is super stressful sometimes....
If you paid with a credit card, you have 90-120 days to file a claim/dispute. The credit card company can charge back the initial charge. And to answer your question, it is hit or miss how much space you will have. The last two years, we barely had room for our tent, the years before we could have set up the Taj Mahal and still had room to spare!
First off, sorry about your trouble, I had my Roo last year turn into a wildly expensive affair and it nearly ruined the trip, but once I plopped under my EZ-up I realized I would've been pissed at myself if I had let my pre-Roo issues prevent me from going.
This is the name of the game. Last year we had an EZ-up, two tents, a big table, etc. and didn't have an issue. If you're set up quickly, help people around you set up, it's the easiest way to meet them and starts everyone off on the right foot. You never know when they'll have an extra burger or beer to offer...
