Does anyone know what's up with the site's schedule editor? I've never made a schedule using their site before, so maybe I'm just stupid, but it doesn't seem to work at the moment.
Post by kikosanchez on May 15, 2012 14:03:05 GMT -5
Maybe I see now, do you just click on the artist's name and then click "add artist"?? Seems extremely inefficient and will take forever. They need a much simpler system for making your schedule.

This is my goal as of now. I'm sure a lot of it won't happen but I think that's a solid framework.

A lot of tight schedules...do you guys usually leave early to get to the next show or do you just take a chance missing some & to getting a great spot?
I usually go to the show right when it starts...and it's usually packed.

Thursday: Doug Benson: Crank 2 -> Mariachi El Bronx -> Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr -> Phantogram -> Big G -> Trapped in the Closet
Friday: The Kooks -> Trixie Whitley -> Two Door CC -> Fitz -> Feist -> St Vincent -> Foster the People -> Radiohead -> Blackstar/Major Lazer (IDK what to do!) -> FlyLo -> Big Freedia
Saturday: Pelican -> Hey Rosetta! -> Temper Trap vs Battles vs Khaira Arby -> SBTRKT -> Gambino -> Roots -> Dispatch -> RHCP -> Art vs Science -> SILENT DISCO
Sunday: Delta Spirit -> Gary Clark Jr. -> Grouplove -> City & Colour -> The Joy Formidable -> The Shins vs FUN. -> Phish
I'll decide on my conflicts in the moment, whichever I would prefer at the time.
Maybe I see now, do you just click on the artist's name and then click "add artist"?? Seems extremely inefficient and will take forever. They need a much simpler system for making your schedule.
I'm not sure how it gets simpler than that. Literally every major fest has their personal schedule editor set up that way.
Maybe my browser is acting wacky, but I'm literally having to click the name of the artist, which then loads the artist's page, then I click "add artist" rather than adding the timeslot (some artists play multiple shows throughout the weekend), then I have to scroll down and go back to my schedule, which then auto-loads thursday's schedule, then I must go back to the day I'm scheduling and do it all over again. This is atrocious. Hopefully it's just my browser.
The way it should be is you simply click the box which makes it change color (show added). Click, click, click, click and your entire day is scheduled in 15 seconds.
A lot of tight schedules...do you guys usually leave early to get to the next show or do you just take a chance missing some & to getting a great spot?
I normally go right when it starts, with the exception of bands I really want to see. St. Vincent, Phantogram, and The Antlers (for me) all have big gaps before them, or I'll see the act on stage before them in order to get a better spot.
I'm not sure how it gets simpler than that. Literally every major fest has their personal schedule editor set up that way.

THURSDAY Maryland > Tennessee
FRIDAY Infamous Stringdusters > Sharon Jones > Sam Bush > Avett Brothers > Sara Watkins > Radiohead > Umphrey's
SATURDAY Devil Makes Three (if I'm up) > Trampled By Turtles (Sonic Stage) > Punch Brothers > The Roots > RHCP > Superjam (if it's Atoms for Peace)
SUNDAY Sarah Jarosz > Gary Clark Jr > Beach Boys (maybe) > Ben Folds Five > Civil Wars > Phish
Sucks that I can't get in until Friday morning, but I'm actually not too worried about it anymore--the first band that I would die if I missed is the Avett Brothers, so there'll still be a few hours padding to allow for traffic, setup, moseying around, etc.
The Roo gods went fairly easy on me this year, but the Avett/TbT conflict is really tough. Just going to have to be sure to see TbT at the sonic stage and catch them in Richmond a few weeks after.
I don't think I have ever been as excited about anything as I am about Umphrey's late night. I have seen them more times than I can count off the top of my head (high 20s I think) but this is still the show I am looking forward to the most.
I'm not sure how it gets simpler than that. Literally every major fest has their personal schedule editor set up that way.

It must be your browser. I'm just hovering over the time slot and then a pop-up shows up with the option to add that artist. Quick and easy.
