Drummers gotten a bit better, plus when they bring a guitarist from Isis or Earth along on tour, like they have the past few times I've seen 'em, it's an onslaught.

I am very excited to see them there. Even though I'm seeing them down the street from my house 3 weeks after Roo, I won't miss it. With Mogwai, Battles and Pelican I am sufficiently pleased with the wordless adds. Maybe get God is an Astronaut and make a themed tent

That's really cool.
One of the funniest music reviews I've ever read was one on Australasia, and the person gave it 2 or 3 stars and the review was simply:

Anyone else catch some of Pelican? After Darondo cancelled I stopped by for a few songs on my way over to Charles Bradley, and they were absolutely bringing it.

On the rail for BOTH Pelican and Bad Brains. I got the setlists for Pelican but passed them out (One to a much more dedicated fan and one to a couple who had never gotten a setlist before) I figured the good karma would help later and it did...I got the Bad Brains setlist!

Another one of my favorite sets from the weekend. I've loved Pelican for a long time, but never had the chance to see them. Glad that finally changed! They rocked the tent, hard. You could tell they were excited and appreciative to have such a large crowd for such a terrible set time as well.
Love to have some skull crushing metal to start the day. Now if only Isis would reunite for a set in '13...
I've seen them twice, but I still wish I caught this. They shoulda been later, although my schedule for saturday was pretty packed to the brim so unless they played during RHCP I wouldn't have been able to see em anyway.
