I thought it would sell out when Phish and RHCP were slotted for headlining. Then when I saw Skrillex, I thought once again that it would sell out quickly. Now, I'm not sure if it will. But, honestly I don't see why and really would prefer it not to, less people.

I think it won't sell out.
Phish phans are getting older and have more responsibilities, Radiohead fans may be less inclined to want to bear the heat (though I like the idea of mellow Radiohead fans being there), and Kenny Rogers won't likely drag in any fence sitters.
I haven't seen Phish yet and want to and live in AL, haven't been to Broo since 06 and 07 so...

So how legit is getting a ticket off stubhub?? I can't miss Roo this year but I'm having trouble coming up with the $260... so getting them off stubhub for $200 would be amazing. But I've never dealt with StubHub before

I would also like to know - I just bought one from Stubhub!

Eh, I would have avoided doing so. We talked about this on another thread. As far as third party options go, the general consensus is that Craigslist might be the most legit. Face to face interactions and you can possibly see the wristband before you buy it. See, wristbands have not shipped so the person you got the ticket from doesn't even have it yet. That's just a little too sketchy for me. But, hey, you'll probably be just fine. Just register your wristband when you get it to ensure you didn't get ripped off. Make sure you get all associated paperwork with the wristband.

i have to buy a VIP package of two so i can get my girlfriend a ticket. i am a fellow music lover and will be offering the ticket to someone at face value. Long live Bonnaroo. As i am a veteran. dtrooke@att.net As far as the sell out.....i bet they will
Thanks for the heads up Nate. Checked Craiglist and found one for $250 in my town. Also have someone on Reddit offering 2 for $400, that would be excellent but I'm wary of getting scammed that way.
But on the topic of a sellout: I don't think the crowd will be as big as last year.

If you're already looking at spending $250 for a third party ticket, I would just get all my eggs in a basket and try to get one direct from AC/Bonnaroo. But, I understand if you really feel that's your best option. Remember, no money until you have the ticket in hand and get all of the paperwork mailed with it.
Yeah absolutely understand. It's just that getting it for $250 saves me from all the processing and shipping fees, it's from a person that lives in my town so I'll make sure to check all the paperwork and everything before handing over any money. I told the person to expect this and they said that's fine, they'll contact me when they receive it. If it falls through then I'll just be ordering it I guess. When do they stop allowing you to order tickets?

They stop whenever they "sell out". I'm not sure what number they call it quits on, apparently 2008 (or 09?) there were over 90,000 patrons. In 2011, there were somewhere around 80,000. They sold out early last year (as I recall) and if they are to sell out this year, it will be soon after the schedule drop or at the very last minute when people are finalizing their Roo plans. So whenever AC decides they don't need anymore patrons, that's when it will sell out. According to most posters, this year should have a lighter/smaller crowd than the previous years. I'm not sure why, but I take seasoned Roo'ers at their word. So, there's a possiblity they won't.
Interesting.. I went in 09, 10, 11 and I thought '09 was by far the least crowded with '11 being the most crowded. You recall right by saying they sold out early last year, I'm pretty sure it was around this time actually. I expected this year to be way more packed at first, but I've came around to the other side of thinking that it will be a little lighter than last year. I'm curious to see. Still got my fingers crossed that I can even afford it this year.
