PS: dcbee & alieblue, how did I miss y'all in the VIP pit @ Forecastle? Oh well, at least I got to see you both @ that amaaaaazing sound check under the bridge!
Well, we're not terribly tall ;D But alieblue's husband is! 6'4", short blond hair and trim. So look for him with one short and one medium brunettes bouncing nearby
With MMJ that's pretty much true, but it's because if they don't like the show they probably aren't worth being friends with.
I did this with my boss. He asked me for music advice so I led him to MMJ, they came to Merriweather last year and I convinced him to get pit tickets. He's not going this year because he's overwhelmed at work and such, but I was SO RELIEVED that he had a great time and said the show was epic, one of the best he had ever seen. Good thing because I didn't want to have to get a new job.

Right now he has a bit of a beard which is more reddish/brownish in color, but you met him under the overpass, he's a fabulous beacon in a crowd!
Also, the posters at RR were $45, so bring a little more money than you might think you'd need for a poster.
I doubt it will be that much. The Red Rocks was done by Emek. Being insanely expensive is basically the trademark of Emek. He did a Rothbury poster that was something like $130. I know his Phish posters are often over 100 too.

2 days away for us! We are also trying to get into the wyep/npr studio for the BOH studio session that afternoon- crazier things have happened- just have to keep knocking on that door.
Can someone twitter Golden for me for the Pittsburgh show??? Thanks in advance if anyone does this little favor for me, lol.
Edit: so excited, taking a friend who has never seen either MMJ/BOH

I ordered the Barry Gets In Line Early poster. With the morning paper, cup of coffee, and fuzzy slippers I felt I just had to have it. I'm going to hang it somewhere in the kitchen.
The Philly show was incredible. Looks like Merriweather was too. These guys are on a tear right now. I think they really enjoy working all these old songs/rarities and covers into their set.
Here's the Philly set list....
X-Mas Curtain First Light Outta My System Holdin On To Black Metal Mahgeetah Into The Woods Evelyn Is Not Real Gideon The Bear Rocket Man (Elton John cover) Strangulation! It Beats 4 U Steam Engine Victory Dance Circuital Touch Me I'm Going To Scream Pt. 2 Touch Me I'm Going To Scream Pt. 1 Wordless Chorus Run Thru Smokin From Shootin
Encore Wonderful (The Way I Feel) (w/ Ben Bridwell) I'm Amazed It Makes No Difference (The Band cover) Off The Record One Big Holiday

OHmygod that MPP setlist. thats like the dream setlist made for me.
Opening with Tonite I Want to Celebrate W/ U, War Begun > I Will Sing You Songs, I Think Im Going to Hell, Cobra, Phone Went West AND Rock the Casbah?
If I could get just one of those things at Pittsburgh I'll be happy. Incredible. Maybe the best MMJ setlist I've ever seen personally for me, including the Red Rocks shows
Last nights show was a lot of fun! And Ben Bridwell brought his girls little girls out a few times durin' BOH's set and fer the "Rock The Casbah" encore. Too cute. I would've liked a few more of my favorite MMJ songs to have been played ("Touch Me Parts 1, 2" fer example) but overall great time! So glad I decided to go at the last minute.

Judging by the reaction to it, it might not be the best time to say I was at the Milwaukee show with the Barry the Bear poster and didn't buy it.
For what it's worth I've never bought a show poster, and I walked up to the merch table literally three times thinking about it but just couldn't pull the trigger. I know it's a slippery slope and suddenly I'll find myself dropping an extra $25-$30 every show I'm at. Some day I guess.
