Which additional EDM artist should I have recommended? I felt like they trend toward the synth-pop type stuff GF seems to be into.
"the synth-pop type stuff GF seems to be into" ?!?!
it's clear you don't know me at all, let's not make offensive opinions on my taste I'm sorry but that statement of yours just sounds offensive. my main tastes tend to coincide with that of punk rock and rock n roll.
any "synth-pop type stuff" that might be on my list is out of mere interest of expanding my taste and trying new stuff. i am going both weekends with the goal of not repeating the same band twice, I want to try new stuff.

Well sorry for looking at the list of bands you said you wanted to see and assuming that reflected your taste in music.

Hey you should be applauding me and excited for me that I am even remotely open to exploring the unknown here I am open to liking it, but for now: unknown = grrrrr
One of the schedule predictions over on the Coachella boards had a Grizzly Bear -> Hot Chip -> Sigur Ros Outdoor stage Saturday night, which would be perfection.
I definitely see Sigur Ros closing the outdoor in the EITS spot, but I have a feeling that Hot Chip will conflict with Phoenix in a tent. Similar to The Rapture's spot last year.
Here are the overlapping acts, for anyone who is curious. There are more than I realized, 25 28 (thanks tom!)!

Here's my list right now, not sure how workable this will end up being (* = must see, CAPS = super must see)
Friday: Blur*, Stone Roses, YEAH YEAH YEAHS, Modest Mouse, Grinderman, Dog Blood, HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS, Metric, Japandroids*, Divine Fits*, Foals*, THE SHOUTING MATCHES, Four Tet, tnght, Earl Sweatshirt, Polica*, Youth Lagoon, Purity Ring*, Palma Violets
Saturday: PHOENIX, The xx, Sigur Ros, New Order*, Grizzly Bear, Moby*, Yeasayer, Violent Femmes*, Simian Mobile Disco*, Spiritualized, 2 Chainz, Janelle Monae, Danny Brown Wild Nothing, Booka Shade*, Pusha T, 2 Bears
Sunday: Nick Cave*, Wu-Tang, PRYDZ, La Roux, James Blake*, The Faint, Dinosaur Jr*, omd*, Tanlines, Paul Kalkbrenner*, Disclosure*, CLOUD NOTHINGS, Julio Bashmore*, Kurt Vile, Ghost
I love Yeasayer but I really wouldn't waste my time on this current show. Especially if it's conflicting with something you REALLY want to see. They "reworked" some of the older/better tunes and they just don't do them justice. It's really disappointing. Just play the damn thing as it was written, please.
I bet Four Tet conflicts with Blur or at least overlaps.
Based on how he's blowing up though, I wouldn't be shocked if he got a pretty prime time slot, so there will undoubtedly be something else awesome going on that I can check out.
Probably early evening, around 4 or so. When I saw him, Harlem Shake was one of the last tunes he played. Really wish I could hear how amazing "Yaow" and "Iced Up" will sound in the Sahara. shiz is gonna rock.
Jealous of you guys seeing TNGHT too. That one is gonna be insane.
