I'd LOVE to see Blur headline Coachella. "The Great Escape" is my fav album from the 90s. "Country House" and "Charmless Man' were and still are 2 of my favorite songs ever. Blur kind of got a raw deal here in the US, Oasis broke big right before them and stole their thunder with the new brit-pop in the 90s (then Oasis turned everyone off here by being a bunch of summers breezey tools).
Is there any chance we could see Blur -> McCartney at Roo? That would be a british invasion I could get behind. I don't know if they'd go from headlining Coachella to pre-HL Roo, but bands (The Strokes) have done it before so who knows?

So since when does the KROQ website mention "Coachella lineup announcement coming soon"? Has it been there since today or was it there before already? Sorry if this was mentioned already (probably has.)

In other news, I need new friends. Haha. They need like one of those adventure group sites, but solely for people to go to concerts. Hate when none of my friends want to go. :-(
Yes! Someone make this, please
Right?! I live in tech capital and I dont' know of any site that does something like that. I think I will have to take itrainmonkeys's suggestion and just go alone more often. Make new friends.
Of course, the concerts are always in the San Francisco/Oakland areas while I'm in San Jose. Anyone from the bay area knows traffic SUCKS trying to get there and of course South Bay has no decent public transportation.
I'm thinking seriously about going for the very first year, yeah.
I was way more about it when I thought a certain robot duo would be playing, but if The Knife plays along with Blur headlining and the Stone Roses subbing that should be enough to get me there.
ALSO I'M DRUNK RIGHT NOW AND READY FOR THIS F*CKING LINEUP TO COME OUT TONIGHT!!!

If it wasn't for inforoo I'd be going to Yo La Tengo alone next month. Now I'll be there with Tom, laughing about how sweet it is they included Ned in the TIN contest so his feelings wouldn't be hurt.

I hope it does and that you're able to go. And you must be drunk - it's The Blur.

I don't know why I always get excited to see the Coachella line up. But every year I check out the rumors and and their border line hate crime message board.

And I never ever plan on going.
Fun times.
I'm sure the lineup introduces you to a few new bands at least! Does for me every year anyways.

I think that rings true for any of festival line ups. Especially when something keeps showing up on all of the line ups that I'm unfamiliar with.
I'm not going to pretend I know everything about everything concerning current popular and upcoming music. I have four kids and a part time job. I'm also a full time student. So I like it when there is something pointing me towards an artist that I might like

Of course. I'm the same way. Actually planned on dissecting the Primavera and Governer's Ball lineups tonight.
At one point I said to myself "I wonder why people hate this dude so bad?" Thank you for saving me the time I wouldve spent rereading threads to figure it out
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
On KROQ, they keep saying the lineup (they've specifically said the lineup, not a lineup announcement) is coming "any minute now." Torture listening to this awful radio station, but it sure sounds like we'll have the lineup tonight sometime.

Don't let those Quackers bait you in Rosko. They'll say that shiz for days. Hope I'm wrong but historically this has been the case.

Ah. Well that's a bummer. At least I can stop listening to terrible Rise Against songs now.
