The main thing holding me back right now is figuring out how to get all my camping gear there (because I'd have to fly) or, if not that, how the hell to afford any of the expensive-ass hotels near the venue.
But I desperately, desperately want to see Sigur Ros.

Just come see them in Chicago.
Kind of sucks they're playing in a college basketball arena.

Kyle, you can totally borrow my tent and shade structure.
And cooler, cot, chairs, whatever else I have that you need.

I was thinking about going to see them in NY, but it's on a Monday, which is super inconvenient. Plus Coachella would be a lot more fun if I could make it happen. Kinda doubt I can afford the Coach trip, though.
If I don't end up going to Coach, I will probably try to figure out a way to see them elsewhere this tour (probably NYC).

Hmmm interesting. Thanks a lot, CKS, this definitely helps. I will let you know.
I have an old drum hardware bag I pack all of my camping gear in. And if you can possibly fly Southwest they have that whole "bags fly free" thing going on. I've flown with camp gear 3 out of the 5 times I've gone and once to bonnaroo without any problems.

Hopefully we don't get Tori Amos'd instead of Apple'd. After Tenacious D at Roo '10, I was super fuckked up and was trying to get to Les Claypool and went the wrong way and came up on Tori Amos, by the Bonnadoodoo fountain. Talk about a come down, Jesus Tittyfuckkin Christ! I actually ran the other way to escape faster.
I know, I just thought it was funny because you hate on all the crunchy jambands now and we hated on 'em back then.
In the 90's, I was wasting my life with Tool, The Melvins, Primus, and NIN. I still love them all, but I did quite a bit of hating on Tool when they blew up during the Lateralus era and NIN as soon as they released that POS album With Teeth. I got over it though.
