Are Daft Punk, Stone Roses, and Blur rumored because they generally have tour plans so why not Coachella? Or is there something more to it?
General message board chatter. Some dude who claims to have a connection (don't they all) says that GV finalized the deal with DP, and has sent offers out to the Stone Roses and Jawbreaker. I think the Blur thing is just that they announced they're doing shows in 2013 and have already said they're doing a handful of Euro fests, so Coachella seems likely. For what its worth, Stone Roses are playing in Australia the week before Coachella, so I suppose it's a possibility.;

if this is true I really really really really really hope they come to Roo too.
Thom, my man, everytime you post I think to myself "this dude really just needs to go to Coachella." I don't know if you're planning on it this year, but it absolutely seems like your tastes/wishlists fly much closer to Coachella than Bonnaroo.

So if Atoms for Peace is in fact playing (which I'm not really sold on yet) they would probably be pre headlining right? Since they closed the outdoor last time.

I was strongly considering it anyway. I have friends in LA that have been begging me to come see them for over a year, and what better excuse to go to SoCal than for Coachella?

No better excuse. You would absolutely love it dude.
I had heard RHCP's name dropped to me by some backstage folks last year while eating breakfast at the camping buffet. I didn't want it to be true then, I hope it's not true now, but who knows at this point...
Argh! Stuff like this usually turns out to be true. At least we'll get Afp out of this.
Actually, that makes a lot of sense. Flea could easily pull double duty with Red Hot Chili Peppers AND Atoms For Peace.

A lot of that sounds like baloney, but if RHCP really was playing (which I doubt), headlining Bonnaroo, Lolla and Coachella in under a year would be a crowning achievement in artist management.
