So my friends bailed on me and looks like I'm heading out to Coachella solo. Anyone willing to hook me up with a ride to the festival and a spot to camp? My friends sold their car camping pass. I'm willing to pay all your gas roundtrip from LA and will throw you some cash for letting me crash on your site. I've been to Coachella before and really hope I won't have to sell my ticket!
I have tickets for weekend 2, flying into LAX from NY.

I had to sell my weekend one ticket.
My boss kinda "backed me into a corner" and called me out on going both weekends "do you really need to go BOTH weekends?". and then she was like "wouldnt you rather use your vacation time for the one in TN?" In her corporate speak, that translates to: "pick between two coachellas or one bonnaroo." then she tells me that one of the lady's in my department has to be in court on the Friday and Monday surrounding weekend one, so she was like "we could really use you that weekend".
It was a hard decision to make, but its like-- im out of money, i need to go to Roo (Weird al, DUH!), and I feel that this was the right thing to do.
Sorry guys for bailing, for those that were counting on me. I hope you will find it your heart to understand
Really trying to make this my first Coachella. Can't afford it, but the lineup is just too insane to pass up. Like 70 bands without even researching, including my #1 next to see and many of my all time favorite acts. This will be my 10th Roo and have done countless other festivals (ACL, Vegoose, Electric Zoo, Ultra, Virgin, Woodstock 99, Floydfest, Lolla, etc), need the polo fields under my belt. I missed last time my cousins band played Coachella, I cannot miss them playing again this year!
I have a ticket for Weekend 2, but no camping pass or plane ticket yet. None of my friends can go, so I will be solo. I much prefer the idea of camping onsite (eliminates the responsibility of getting back to a bed), but don't know if there are festivities that make it worthwhile (music doesn't go til dawn like at Roo). Not sure the value in renting a car by myself and getting a camping pass vs. just paying for an actual room somewheres. Especially with trying to fly with camping equipment.
Anybody have any helpful ideas? More than willing to make a substantial financial contribution (not to mention continuous party and good vibes contributions), just need a plan. I feel like I would regret selling this ticket forever, leaving it to fate to decide.

I look forward to your PM or responses....
Who is your cousin's band?
And have you checked the Coachella boards?
I wish you the best of luck!
As far as flying with camping equipment, you have to pack like you are backpacking. Small tent, trim sleeping bag, and minimal clothing/extras. It's not easy but definitely doable, I do it for roo every year. Without a car and a camping pass though, I'd say it would be worth checking out your hotel options, as it would make life a lot easier for you for not too much more money (especially if you can split with someone else). I prefer hoteling for Coachella. For roo it's silly, but for Coachella it makes a lot of sense since you have plenty of time to get a good night's sleep after the music is over for the night, and there are great shuttles and so many options nearby.
It's an extra DJ stage that's outdoors with cool artsy stuff...but really it's just the place people go to get sprayed down with water by scantily clad ladies.

LOL. It's what at least 80% of the inhabitants are concerned about! I do it too. It feels good! I turn the other way to not get blasted in the face though (shut up Phil).
Weekend 1 Do Lab acts that I know are Buku and The Gaslamp Killer. Any other suggestions? I have a feeling I won't spend much time here anyway.
Christian Martin Kraddy Michael Menert Orchard Lounge R/D Run DMT ThugQuacker Gaslamp Killer
Those are all the ones I've heard of and all are pretty good. Kraddy used to be in The Glitch Mob way back in the day, he's pretty damn good! This track is great!
April 12-14th - Indio, CA - Coachella Weekend 1
May 3-5th - Memphis, TN - Beale St. Music Festival
June 13-16th - Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
July 12-14th - Louisville, KY - Forecastle Festival
August 2-4th - Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza
September 27-29th - Atlanta, GA - TomorrowWorld
October 25-27th - Asheville, NC - Mountain Oasis
And DAMNIT I jsut realized that the bold names were weekend1. That means Kraddy is weekend2 at least we still get Gaslamp Killer. Surprised he's in the Do Lab honestly.

If you guys dont go see Kastle, you're crazy. Im actually disappointed the first year he's made the do lab is the year Im not going. He's from Pittsburgh, but on the west coast now.
EDit: welp nvm he's second weekend so I wouldnt have gotten to see him anyway, but second weekend folks dont miss him
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.

OK so I sold my two passes to my friend in LA right. The box was delivered with two wristbands on tuesday. Then on wednesday another box was delivered with two wristbands. wtf? There's no way the same RFIDs are in both pairs of wristbands. Coachella had to have made a Quackup. Should we call them and ask wtf? or should he sell them to one of his friends for cheap? Apparently one of his friends is willing to buy him a Bonnaroo ticket in exchange for them and take the risk of the second pair being void. He can register his set to make sure his will definitely work, right?

odds are they are someone elses's wristbands. that person will call and say 'i never got my wristband' at which time your friends extras will be cancelled. if he sells them to someone he's going to have an angry purchaser on his hands when he gets home.

I tried to convince him that we needed to call them, but he insisted that it's no big deal. He registered the ones with my order number and his friend is going to gamble with the others by not registering them. Apparently, his friend knows the risk and it's a $300 gamble they're willing to take. So whatever, the shiz is out of my hands.

"In the darkness hundreds of glowsticks streaked the air like tracer shots in war. Giant inflatables bounced over dozens of light sabers pointed skyward. Stuffed animals impaled on sticks danced above the hot crowds, puppeted by someone just given ecstasy by a friend made seconds before."
