and I'm in! only took 40 minutes of annoyingness, with some options available in one browser and unavailable in another, only to time out with two minutes left during the checkout process multiple times.
Weekend 2 with the car camping. And I think I got a companion pass I'm not going to use. Hopefully not all of you foolios are weekend 1. . .

Woohoo! Persistence paid off, got my ticket + shuttle pass (no idea if/what I'll use the shuttle pass for, but it was all that was still available) for Weekend 1! Unable to score a car camping pass, though

Really? How does that work? Do I just e-mail them and ask to switch my shuttle pass to a car camping pass? What's the e-mail address?

Woooooo! It's all good, Kyle. We have 2 cars and 2 car camping passes
I know. I was doing a terrible job of alluding to that I have talked to several people who are of the mindset that the line-up is good but not good enough to be worth traveling cross country. They can just pull from people in-state and have a sizable market.

Half of our group is from out of state. Also California is sooooo massive it's a little wonky to take the entire state (and it's population) into account.
I do agree that being a couple hours away from two major cities doesn't hurt, though.

Yeah, I am not saying that they are only drawing from in-state. I just think they have a larger pool of people that live within a radius where it isn't that big of a deal to travel to the festival, so it's a little easier to talk them into going.
