^^^Had some friends go to the Opeth/Mastodon show saturday night, and this was also going on. They said they got there at the ticket time, and got right into the normal masq lot, but they were charging $10, instead of the usual $5. So if you do decide to try the normal lots, bring a 10 spot.

Ok Nashville folk, I have an extra ticket to the M83 show tomorrow night (thanks to rdk). PM me if you want it!!
Glad you're going, JHo Preds Buddy! Am already set w/ tix, but thanks for the heads-up.
T minus 20 hrs and counting now. So... very... STOKED! Will be my first dive-in to Marathon Music Works
On the same general thread tip of "great artists not playing Roo this year" --
just watched Willie and Lukas Nelson cover Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe" on Fallon show. simply awesome.
(edit - Not even intending this as a biznatch about the Roo line-up. I love the line-up this year. I'd love it just a wee bit more, though, with M83 and/or Willie & Lukas on it.)
Atlanta show was AMAZING! I Break Horses, M83 and the crowd were all on a spectacular level together. Mayo and Airline, it was great to meet some fellow Roosters and Maggie and I look very forward very much to seeing y'all again at Roo. M83!!!!!

troo, there are some lots that cost like $5 or $10 right near the venue. But if you get there early enough, you can park on the street as long as there is a spot available (hence why I'm getting there early).
Good googly moogly. That was just an AWESOME show. Mayo, GL, Airline, jmh... all you who've seen 'em earlier on this leg... you absolutely nailed it. Really cool for me too, getting to meet you, Phi! No worries on the hand wash :-)
Only sorry I didn't get to meet JHo, Druid, Cory's, Mikey from Murf, krstphr, and the rest of you locals.
I think this band touches on some of the best flavors from bands I've dug a whole lot down through the years. New Order, LCD, really old Genesis or Peter Gabriel, etc. I don't think they're necessarily "derivative" of anyone in particular -- just really good in their own right.
So many great songs tonight. "Intro", "Midnight City", and "Steve McQueen" especially stood out for me. Hell, there was even a song roughly mid-set I'd not heard before that was total Pink Floyd - "Atom Heart Mother".
Still cheesing, big-time. Anyone who gets a chance to see 'em on this tour HAS to do it!
Phi you were right next to me the whole time. I was right next to the sub about 4 people deep. Sadly, I didn't meet any of you. This show meant so much to me. First show of the year since I have been so busy with work and school. Totally worth it though. I'll wait a year for a show like that. First time on a guest list. Was pretty awesome when I walked up to will call and she said are you will call or guest and, I got to say guest. One of the top shows I have ever been to when it comes to energy, although the wattage being boomed out of the sub right next to me may have contributed to that. I have not been enveloped in bass like that since I was on the rail at MMJ last year. Can not even put in to words what having bass roll throughout your body feels like. Wait maybe I can, euphoric may be the word. Sorry if you had a handbill on your car when you got back to it. I hate those things but it was a necessary evil to be on the guest list. It was one of the best handbills I have ever seen though. Instead of advertising one band it had a lot of really good ones. My ears are ringing. I'm going to try and go to bed now so I can be at work in less than 6 hours.
SUCH an amazing show Monday night!!! Sorry Im just now posting - but pretty much what everyone else said about the Nashville show is spot on. Weather in ATL was perfect, light show was really amazing, sound was great! Also, always lots of fun to meet other Roosters at shows - jmhayes it was delightful to meet you and Maggie! And of course, it's always a pleasure to see Airline - we didn't get to see our song, dude! Maybe we should shoot for another show in the later leg of the tour??? I NEED ME SOME CLAUDIA LEWIS. ;D

It was a fantastic show! We ended up leaving early because I was hit suddenly with some sort of weird issue (I think I got too hot? Dehydrated? Something, but I felt like I was going to pass out and barf).
So sorry I missed you krstphr! Next time, I promise! (And hey, at least you managed to meet my friend Kelly)
Great show last night. I was impressed by the room. It was my first time there. Could anyone hear the vocals of the opening band last night? The music was good but I could not make out any words.
