just drive. thats what we are doing coming from long island. adds a whole extra dimension to the trip. and i hear it might be cheaper to fly into a different airport.
Flying into Nashville for Roo can be expensive because you thousands of people coming in for both Roo and the CMA thing. One of the best ways to bring down prices is stay at a hotel in Nashville Monday night and fly out Tuesday. That will normally save you about 100$ a person. Flying in on Wednesday instead of Thursday can normally save you about 50$.
I normally fly Southwest it is normally about the same price but you get 2 free bags (25 each on other airlines) and the ability to change flights without a fee. It looks like you can get a wed-tuesday roundtrip for 350 from them from laguardia. Not cheep but much better than 600.
What Bacon said. Last year I brought up the SW calendar and wed thru monday into Nashville were majorly jacked. Ended up flying 4 into lexington for less than then the price of two and driving the four hours.
I don't know how I'm getting to Roo yet but I am headed to Maine straight after. Noticed the jacked prices from Nashville so I looked up the cost of flying out from Memphis instead - $98.

There is megabus service Memphis to Nashville as well.

Are you taking a private jet or flying first class? The cheapest I am getting right now is $270...depends what day you are leaving as well.
like i said it has to be thursday to monday. or at the very earliest midnight wed.
are you looking at southwest? southwest has you pick your inbound and outbound flights separatly and they price them individually. maybe that's why its 270? if not then share the wealth brother

So don't fly into BNA. Try flying into Chattanooga instead. Delta has a 6am out of LGA into CHA @ 10am Thursday for $353. Rent a car & be on the Farm by afternoon. Or find a ride. Tons of folks who drive up from FL & GA stay here overnight.
It takes me ~45mins to get to Manchester. 'Roo traffic isn't bad on Thursday morning now that GA can come in on Wed. night. Good luck to ya!
