Following online, did Browner really just take an INT out of the end zone to the 3 yard line...?
The bad part was when he went back into the endzone, he was lucky, when he got tackled he was flung out of the endzone. If he goes down where he was hit, safety on an INT.
Flaz, to follow up, I will admit I have a hard-on for Tebow. I Bleed Orange N Blue as he does. so I am bias in that matter, but I also believe or know he is one of the hardest workers you will find. I will admit, Timmy takes longer to release a pass, than it takes me to have a bowel movement, and I like to read the Food Network magazine when I am on the throne. With Pro speed, that release does not translate well, try to speed up and accuracy goes down the toilet or on the lid if you are pissing in the dark. We all know that, but last week, I read an article and Rex made it seem like he only put Tebow on the field, because the owner wanted Tebow on the field, True or not, that is what the article implied, but you say it is his other skills. I do not have the access to footage like you do, so I can not comment on Tebow's route running and hands, but I remember the first snap Tebow took under center at Florida. It was a hand off to the left side to Deshawn Wynn. 25 yards down the field he gets a block that allows him to pick up another 7 yards. #15 was the one making that block. I think a creative minded coach could utilize a football player like Tebow. He is teachable. Letting him ride the bench is a waste and if that is the case let us have him. I am expecting to see Tebow take some hand offs this week. He is one tough quacker, unlike this guy, #6

See, this is what I hate about the media coverage of the Jets. The idea that Woody Johnson runs his team the way James Dolan runs the Knicks is untrue. When the Tebow trade happened, Rex and the GM were in an airport waiting to visit Quinton Coples' pro day when the GM approached Rex about it. Rex loved the idea because if there was ever a Rex Ryan type of player, Tebow is it. I'll give you that he's fearless, selfless, a great locker room guy and has not once complained (at least publicly). He's done everything asked of him. Rex and Tanny start talking what the deal could/should be, they approach the Broncos and only once a trade was agreed to in principle was the owner advised, at that time he approved the deal. The media is trying to portray the Jets as a team in disarray, but it's anything but. The reason Tebow hasn't been used as a TE/WR is because his skill isn't there. Under Rex, the Jets are notorious for saving runningbacks early on and using them after the bye when they're fresh and playing against banged-up defenses. They did it with Shonn Greene in '09 and '10. I think they're doing something along those lines with Tebow, and this week he's going to be playing legit RB snaps. The Jets are really banged up at RB and Tebow is a 250 pound sledgehammer that can help wear down the Pats.
They absolutely love Tebow as the punt protector, and the fact that he's left handed opens them up to a bunch of special fakes most teams can't run (like last week's fake punt pass he threw to a linebacker Nick Bellore). He's a unique player and the Jets are feeling out how to use him in order to maximize his effectiveness. But don't worry, your boys in Miami will have plenty of Tebow Time next week
And while I know you were just poking fun at a rival QB (which I can't fault you for), Sanchez is tough as nails. I know his portrayal in the media is some tissue soft wimp, but that's not the case. He took a ridiculous amount of vicious hits last year. I get that all QBs take hits, but I've never seen a QB take the amount of free-run hits like the ones defenders routinely lined up on Sanchez. It was staggering/awful to watch.
And then there's this (that would be 2x Pro Bowl safety Michael Griffin (Tenn.) at the end of this run):
That ain't the Teebs, that's p*ssyfoot Mark (this is what I call him in real life, btw). I won't argue that Tebow is tougher (and at 6'3" 250+ he better be), but Mark is very tough in his own right.
Wow, that was a hit, maybe a little more on the crazy/stupid side, than tough, but still he did take one. Lucky he did not break his neck. The "p*ssyfoot flinch" was me making fun of Sanchez, I am a Phin and I do hate the Jets. The Jets have ruined many good times for me. Monday nights, I was having a great time and some how the fucking Jets found a way to comeback and ruin it. This has been in the making for many years. I gotta take my shots when I can. So you can see my dilemma, when my favorite player goes to the team I hate the most. Tebow running the ball this week? Damn, I might have to re adjust my picks.
These 4th quarter collapses are getting really old. Thankfully they pulled this one out of their ass. Otherwise people would be collectively storming from all directions to Foxboro with flaming pitchforks.

Well, they were doing that....and then they passed on 3rd and 1 from the 3 yard line and I blacked out.
Love when the Jets beat themselves, because that means the Jets still win...or something. I'm still drunk.
Pats on their way up, will have #2 seed on lockdown within 5 weeks. That secondary will upgrade from "worst of all time" to "mediocre" when Chung and Gregory come back from injury, no worries.

Pats are a flawed team. All the teams are this year, but they're more flawed than Houston/Niners/Giants and Baltimore if they sort their defense out.
Hoping the Jets sneak into a wildcard spot, and 9 wins might do it. But if you told me before Week 1 that the Jets would lose Revis & Holmes, have Po'uha hurt the entire first 1/2 of the season, have no real running game or run defense and Tebow wouldn't be traded?
I'd say the team was 2-6 heading into the bye. They have a chance to go 4-4 and 3-1 in the division heading into that bye, so I'm not hating this season, it could be going much worse.
I don't think the pats are that much more flawed than those teams. They are also one of the youngest of not one of the youngest teams in the nfl so they will just get better each week

I wasn't saying they're more flawed than most teams, but they are flawed. In other words, I don't give the Jets a 10% chance of winning the Thanksgiving game, I now give them a 15% chance.
Looks like the Panthers GM just got Cammed. Not a typo.
Only about 2+ years too late.
I'm not a Panthers fan, but if I was I'd be pretty disgusted with the way sCam Newton has handled himself this year. He's basically acting like some petulant child being pouty because something got hard for him.
(And anyone who didn't see this coming re: Cam's struggles is an idiot)

I thought his calling a female reporter "sweetheart" was pretty classy. Doesn't he know you have to be about 65+ to get away with that?
Cam already thought it was all about him and he now knows it with the timing following his latest post game pout. Richardson is an idiot.
If he's not the worst owner in the NFL, he's 2nd worst.
Read an interesting article about Dan Snyder a week or two ago. Apparently when he came to the league he was kind of like Mark Cuban, a young rich guy who was enthusiastic and energetic, who was refreshing and got the fans thinking positively for once. I realize that story has a horrible ending if you're a Skins fan, but one thing in it was very interesting. Apparently the person who wrote the article was with Snyder right after he bought the team in the tunnel during a game against Carolina. Being the new owner and the old-guard Richardson was walking towards him, he broke off his conversation momentarily to say hello to the Panther's owner. As the story goes, Richardson basically did everything but call Snyder "new money" and tell him to get the f*ck away. The author said ever since that exchange Snyder's demeanor regarding players, media and fans changed, and it makes sense that the surliest, scummiest POS in the ownership group was the motivation for Snyder to become the intolerable a-hole he is now.
The Clinton Portis story (at his retirement press conference) is also pretty interesting.
Wait, you take total QBR seriously? Didn't trent dilfer come up with it?
Total QBR was a statistic made up by Dilfer to justify his fellating of certain QB's, nothing more, nothing less.
I know he says it "takes time to work itself out," but any metric that has a "clutch rating," then uses that clutch rating to say Tony Romo was more clutch than Mark Sanchez in last year's Week 1 game (you know, where Sanchez came back from 10 points in the 4th quarter and Romo through the game-losing INT to Revis that set up the final FG for the Jets) is completely and totally useless.

Not to mention it takes into account the amount of times a QB is sacked. Sure, sometimes someone like Rodgers or Roethlisberger will hold on to the ball a bit too long, but other times QB's have crappy O-lines.

I was rooting for Detroit since Chicago has the better record, but that shot of Stafford with the crappy field turf of Soldier Field stuck in his facemask warmed my heart.
