And by the way my point was more why is Manning being discussed by everyone when Rodgers is having an extremely similar year statistically while having an inferior OL, running game, and a lot of injuries on defense all while playing in a superior division and conference. Brady/RGIII/AP should probably be top 3 at this point.
To be fair, the entire reason the Broncos' OL isn't seen as the worst in the league again is because of Manning. Rodgers holds the ball forever, Manning gets rid of it in under 2 seconds. The play of the OL is tied directly to the QBs playing behind them.

You won't have any argument from me that Rodgers hangs on to the ball for too long at times. Is there a site somewhere that tracks how long each QB holds onto the ball on avg? I'm sure there is, I just have no idea where to find it.

As a fan of a team with the most horrific offensive line in football, I can tell you this is not true. There are times Cutler holds the ball too long, but that's not why are o line sucks. They suck because they are god awful.

I wasn't trying to say all bad OL's are bad because their QBs hold onto the ball too long, but in the case of Rodgers vs. Peyton, it's relevant to bring to the discussion.
Gron - Pro Football Focus tracks it.
Rodgers has a "Time to Throw" number of 2.88 (5th in the NFL). This is the average time from the snap of the ball until he either throws a pass, gets sacked, or scrambles pass the LOS.
His "Time to attempt" is 8th highest in the NFL. This is literally how long he holds onto the ball before throwing it (basically the first # taking out sacks and scrambles, so it's a more accurate representation of how long he holds the ball).
What makes Rodgers special (and RGIII is in the same boat), is that he has an incredibly high QB rating when he holds the ball over 2.5 seconds (basically the cutoff from getting it out quickly vs. holding it too long). He's able to generate plays with his legs, but he's also incredible at throwing under pressure.
Peyton is 29th out of 30 in this ranking, getting the ball out in an average of 2.5 seconds, which basically means he knows what he's doing with the ball almost every play before the ball is snapped. The only player that does this faster than Peyton is (no surprise) Tom Brady with an average of 2.49 seconds.

That Bears/Green Bay game in the early part of the season was a chinese downhill, i thought Peppers or Matthews might set the single season sack record in the game alone.

I know statistics shouldn't be the only measuring device for MVP, but Andrew Luck has thrown 18 interceptions this year and only has a 74.5 QB rating. Yes, Luck has brought a new dynamic to the Colts offense and is definitely one of the main reasons they're likely in the playoffs. But he's thrown 18 freakin INT's and has a comparable rating to Mark Sanchez. Luck is going to be great, but let's not throw him into the MVP discussion just yet, there's QB's having far better seasons.
Yeah, I watch Sanchez "play football" every single week. I'd literally murder him to get Andrew Luck. You shouldn't compare them.
Wasn't comparing them in the sense they have a similar skill set. Luck is already way, way better than Sanchez will ever be. I was just saying that if you look at two major statistical categories (INTs, passer rating) Sanchez and Luck have similar numbers, with Luck actually having 5 more INTs. Like I said, stats should not be the deciding factor in an MVP race and can be very misrepresentative of a player, but you really can't justify giving serious consideration for MVP to a guy with 18 picks and a 74.5 rating when guys like Manning and Brady are having superior seasons.
If the Skins and Cowboys both win next weekend (against the Eagles and Saints, respectively), their game in Week 17 equates to a division championship game.
This season is going to have some crazy playoff scenarios in play the last 2 weeks.

I'm praying like no other the Giants miss out on the playoffs. I feel like the Cowboys are easily the worst of those 3 in the East, so I'm fine with them taking it.
Aside from the fact the giants very well could win the division, they are also 7-4 in the conference and can definitely make it in via the wild card as well...
I think if the Giants win out they'll be in as a WC. The only way that that doesn't work is if the Vikes win out meaning they need to win @ Houston and beat GB at home. I'm pretty sure they beat out the Bears on common opponents. Of course they still have to win out and the way they looked at the Falcons today makes that seem unlikely.
If we win out (@bal, Phi) then we are in. Period. Giants control their destiny.
Better not melt down against a pissed off ravens team fighting for their division, then.
Btw, what in god's name happened to Justin Tuck? He looks absolutely awful lately.
I don't care how pissed off the Ravens are, without all those guys on defense they just aren't very good. I'm still expecting the Giants to win out, just saying I hope it doesn't happen.

I don't think the Ravens are all that good, but neither are the Giants. Baltimore just needs to force a couple of turnovers without Flacco pooping himself.
Ravens already clinched a playoff spot. They have less pressure to perform.
Also- Adrian Peterson- MVP. He's superhuman!!!!
Is the weather nice on the planet you reside on? Division title, pumpkin. It matters and the Ravens get closer if they win Sunday.
I can assure you the Ravens aren't going to settle for clinching a playoff spot. Losing 3 in a row doesn't sit well with a team or fansbase, that expects to compete for a Super Bowl. I certainly won't guarantee a victory, but thinking the Ravens are less motivated than the Giants is extremely foolish.
Hey everyone, welcome to New York, where you can't speak ill about a Giant or Yankee even when they're playing like sh*t. Fun place to live if you don't root for either of those teams.
The Giants are 8-6! We beat the 49ers and Packers this season by a combined score of like 50-10. But we have a bad game last week and Eli sucks? You're just bitter that you picked the wrong team.
Jesus, talk about your a-hole Giants fans...
No, I am not bitter that when I was 5 I chose the Jets over the Giants, I'm not that shallow.
And I guess you consider garbage time stats important, but the Saints game was a bad game. I didn't say Sanchez had a good game against the Patriots when his numbers said he did, because when you're down 30 stats stop mattering.
Eli and the Giants are not playing well, sorry if that is a tough pill to swallow, but it's the truth.
