The Greatest Back-to-Back Album thread has really attracted my attention because it points out some great bands and some of them even only had two good releases period. It got me to thinking of what the best album song progressions are. In my youth we would call these sides but CD's changed that. So what are the best (at least three) song progressions on a release that you love playing through. My first nomination for consideration is Little Feat's Waiting for Columbus with Time Loves a Hero, Day or Night, Mercenary Territory and Spanish Moon. It also benefits from being a superior live performance.
