It sounds to me like Maynard James Keenan was being facetious about the "don't leak your performance" rule, giving the interviewer a really odd situation (that was in fact true) in telling him everything he knew about who'd been booked EXCEPT Puscifer. Basically, he told a joke that was only funny to those close to Puscifer's (and Bonnaroo's) camp.
My guess is that they already had a Puscifer>Danzig>Alice Cooper tent booked by the time MJK did that interview.

Tool and A Perfect Circle are two of my favorite bands, but Puscifer just doesn't do anything for me at all. I'm glad Maynard is coming back to the farm though.

Then you haven't listened enough! Play V for Vagina in the background next time you're gaming/working. No way you won't find yourself rocking out to it if you like Maynard's music.

For me, it was "C is for" that really broke me through. Polar Bear, Potions, Humbling River and the Mission are awesome as well as the live cuts.
I like "V is for Vagina" but it's a little weaker IMO. Momma Sed, Vagine Mine and Drunk With Power are all awesome though.
Also Don't Shoot the Messenger EP has the better versions of The Undertaker and Rev 22:20 on it.

Agreed. "C is for" is definitely great and you make a good point. I guess i'm a little biased because when V for Vagina first came out I didn't like it. But after hearing it in the background gaming at a friends house for a while, I found myself loving it. Almost like an acquired taste.
All that being said "Humbling River" is probably my favorite Puscifer track. So stoked to see them at roo. I'm hoping they do something unique.
I actually only like the collaboration/remix versions and live performance versions of their songs...
Danny Lohner (renhold:er) should be the permanent member/producer for Puscifer. The stuff him and maynard did for puscifer is some of the best stuff, imho.

Ahh! I really wish I was going this year. I haven't seen Maynard in any form in a couple of years now. Being a huge Tool fan, I was iffy on Puscifer at first. "C is For...." was solid in my opinion and promising of what could come of this project. "Conditions of My Parole" has been in my rotation heavily since it came out and it really hits the spot. I love that album.

I've never really gotten into Tool or APC, but I've been listening to Puscifer on Spotify and I really like what I'm hearing. This show would probably lose if there's a conflict, but if nothing else is going on I'll definitely check it out.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Just realized that seeing Puscifer at Roo will complete my trifecta of seeing APC, Tool and Puscifer in one year's time.
thats a trifecta however mine is far complicated puscifer, Radiohead, The Wall, and Ringo Starr that is the mother church of pyschedalia if ever there was one! ill see your trifecta and raise you an octomomamia'

I've seen Puscifer twice and I must say I am thrilled about this addition. First time I saw them was a sold out show, and it was so good i called off work the next day to see the second nights show. After seeing Tool @ Roo07, seeing APC last year in pittsburgh, I can't wait to see Puscifer on the farm!
Also, Puscifer and Danzig thrilled me because besides the headliners, Umph, the Roots, and the bluegrass this year there wasn't much else for me to see.
