Kinda surprised At the Drive-In wasn't in the championship either.
I'm surprised they got as far as they did. If it was Mars Volta instead, then I wouldn't have been surprised.
The fact that ATDI is a reunion that no one thought would ever happen is the real reason they made it so far. They were huge influences on countless bands from the last ten years.
The Mars Volta, on the other hand, just released a truly legitimate album that ended my fears of them falling off the map. Noctourniquet far exceeded my expectations.
Back to the topic at hand, voting will end at the final buzzer of the NCAA Championship game here in New Orleans. Since every single one of us who did the prediction contest picked the Radioheads to win it all, I'm going to change it up. It doesn't make any sense to give everyone five points for the correct prediction. Instead, five points will go to anyone who correctly predicted how much Radiohead would win by. That's right, many of you still have a shot at the prize.
The updated scores leaves 8 of us still in the running for the win.
I'm still in the lead with 21 points. In second currently is fearofpride with 20. CSTNZ has 19, halfmast, unicyclemaster, and archstanton have 17, and Jonesjupiter and noage have 16.
Radiohead (24 votes) defeated The Beach Boys (4 votes)
Radiohead is our winner!! As if there were any doubt, Radiohead won in (non) dramatic fashion.
With the change in our scoring system, we have a tie in the Predictions Contest! NoAge and I finished with a final total 21 points, putting NoAge as our Predictions Contest winner! While I technically won last year, I gave the title to NoAge as he finished in second place last year. This year, he (we) wins again. That saves me some cash because I've already sent him a Bonnaroo Book in which (I hope) he should be getting any day now.

I've been busy at work (as I should be now) so I haven't been on the boards as much recently so I forgot to vote in the last round! Not that an additional Radiohead vote would make a difference. I also missed getting in the predictions pool. Oh well. Glad but not surprised that Radiohead won. Thanks again for doing this!

I haven't had the time to do it this year, and I honestly do not come to this thread that often any more since I probably won't be coming this year. I assumed the excitement for it was missing since no one ever PMed me about it. I apologize for not ever responding about this sooner. If anyone would like to do it this year, any volunteers can get it going. I just have too much on my plate.

I saw the "MEDICATED" seal go up in the sky. Unfortunately, like JA I've got too much going on right now. I also agree with Juggs (I think it's Juggs) that Sir Paul would prevail. But if you want to find out for sure, someone else will have to step up. Sorry!
