Rae Gross from Sanuk could some help from us Inforoosters!
For those of you who do not know who Rae is, here is a little background.
At Bonnaroo 2010 we tragically lost one of our own, Matt Sloan. Matt was a huge fan of Sanuk shoes. Somebody reached out to Sanuk, as luck would have it, that individual was Rae. The person responsible for digital marketing at Sanuk. Rae took it upon herself to contact people at Sanuk all the way up the chain of command to tell Matts story. In the end she was responsible for setting the gears in motion that would result in a large monetary donation from Sanuk as well as the creation of the Carpe Diem shoe named after Matts user name here on the board. Needless to say, we are forever grateful for her work and compassion.
Rae could now use our help. Her sister, Jax, is in need of surgery to correct a medical condition that effects here daily life to the point she can no longer go to school. If you have the means, please go to her donation page to read her story and make a donation to help with the surgery.
i have always felt very weird about online money stuff(i dont really even shop online) but assuming this will be an on going issue and also remembering the strong and awesome response from sanuk after roo 2010. id be glad to contribute to a brunch collection.
Hey Jax, What you sister did with CarpeDM, is nothing less than magical! That experience has personally changed me for the better. If it was not for her actions and being a part of what she did and seeing that side of this great Community, I would not have stuck around Inforoo or gotten involved as much as I did. No me on Inforoo, then there would have never been a QSAROO and I would not be where I am today, which is me not gambling my paychecks away at the local poker room. So yes(along with another very important person, thank you FM!!!!!!! Thank you!) the actions of your sister Rae has changed my life. The waves from that pebble she dropped so long ago, are still being felt today and will be felt for many, many moons to come. Although it was more like a rock or a boulder. ;D
I am honored to be able to help and return that favor to someone she loves so deeply, her amazing sister. I wish you the best! and please keep us up-to-date on your progress!

I'm making a donation tomorrow. As this year will be my first Roo I obviously don't know Rae, nor did I know Matt Sloan, but since you guys are all so kind and welcoming I feel like it's the least I can do. Hope to see you all at the farm next June!
