The Cannabinoids feat. Erykah Badu are playing Decibel Festival this year...
"The Cannabinoids represent a musical exploration of the science of addiction. It's the sensational reaction created when the synthetic combines with the organic, and The Cannabinoids are the receptors that bind the experience. The project was originally conceived when Erykah Badu sought to manifest live musical improvisation utilizing the tools of studio tracking and hip-hop production.
Inspired by her cosmic collaborations for her award-winning New Amerykah, Part I album release in 2008, Erykah reached out to musicians, DJs, and beatsmiths from her hometown of Dallas, Texas, whom she felt would be able to vibe with the concept. The musical concept was improvisation, and has developed into a live “remix” set. The ideological concept was akin to the studies done on cannabinoid receptors, which identified specific proteins present in the brain that are responsible for the euphoric effects of cannabis.
With each member of the group assigned a specific cannabinoid (musical role), the receptors proceed to serve as a catalyst to inspire creation in each other, and to collectively create a psychedelic, live hip-hop experience for the audience."
...one can hope moog makes this happen.
I'm a neuroscientist and this is too nerdy even for me.
Everyone but Bassnectar, Washed Out and Purity Ring.
Washed Out has never played Moogfest proper, but they did play the "Halfway to Moogfest" mini-festival in April 2011. Although apparently the dude from Washed Out didn't know he was booked for a Q&A/Moog workshop session in Pulp and showed up really confused as to why a bunch of people were sitting around waiting to talk to him about gear and making music.

A couple of people on the FB page have commented that there was a Thomas Dolby newsletter sent where he mentioned he'd be playing Moogfest. Anyone on that list to confirm this? I just saw him a couple of months ago, but wouldn't mind seeing him again at all!

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I can't decide if I should buy a justice ticket or not. Also is anybody gonna hang out and party Sunday? I'm thinking about staying Sunday night and leaving Monday.

That's my goal. As of now, my room is reserved through Monday. As long as I can get to the airport...

If I go, I'm staying Sunday too... right now my room at the Downtown Inn is reserved for Thursday - Monday morning... but I won't be going to Justice. I'm going to use Thursday to unpack, relax, and hit Green Man Brewery and some nice restaurant... (either Cúrate, Admiral, or Table).
