I didn't know about the pandas until today, but I did snap this pic before one of the shows. I was lucky enough to grab photo passes this week. I'll have this organized soon, but you can check out my pics on my flickr.

Panda Cub!!! I remember seeing this kid there and thinking that it might not be the best place for a 4 or 5 year old
I actually saw that little girl a few times during the fest. She was wearing little pink headphones to protect her ears everytime. I'm sure she was wearing them during that show, you just cant see them under the hood. Or at least I hope so.

Can anyone who spoke with the Capp-Dawg give a rundown of what he said? Ive heard no to Daft Punk and Neil is unlikely? Is that correct? Anything else?

He assured us a Led Zeppelin reunion will not happen.

Whereas Squarepusher...yeah. I had to take medicine because it almost made my head explode (in a good way).
When studying for to plan my schedule, I watched several you tube videos and decided on squarepusher mainly for the lights. I have to say it was my favorite show and I mostly stood on the rail slack jawed for the entire thing. Usually if I hear a band "experiments with sound" I think of someone playing a bunch of loud instruments and random times. This show though, it rearranged my mind. The undercurrent beat with notes placed at the perfect and unexpected points shocked me. Once he came out for his solo with the bass, that was probably my favorite point. I was chatting with a guy later that night about shows and he asked me what I thought of squarepusher, I could only look at him with wide eyes and shake my head. I just cannot explain this show like words have not been created yet that describe what I saw and heard.
Amen. I love Primus but you're not going to get that feeling from their show and some 3D videos behind them.
primus was amazing. we saw the end of squarepusher with him playing the bass and that was cool. but to me it doesn't even get close to seeing those 3 guys play their instruments.
every time i see claypool play my mind is rearranged. and larry was on freaking fire with the guitar. they were so tight. people are just impressed and feel different things. for me squarepusher is just like "oh that's cool".
So, I take it I was the only person from this board that attended Morton Subotnick? Haven't seen anyone mention his set...
to be honest i never heard of him before. there are a few on the moog lineup every year where that is the case. but i admittedly know very little about electronic music.

Primus does indeed play a ton of festivals, but this is probably the only one that's getting the 3D show. The visuals definitely made it feel like more than just a standard Primus show, and the band was really on point. The show knocked me out. I'm sure Squarepusher was great, but I have no regrets.
