As everyone has said you DEFINITELY want cash at Roo. Every year I store my cash, etc. in a compartment in my camelbak, but I leave some of it locked in the car. In the event that you DO lose your wallet, bag, whatever, you want to be sure that you still have a form of ID and some green back at the camp. Don't just wander around Centeroo with $400 on you on thursday!! Try to ration your bills so you don't overspend and don't end up losing it! Last year, one of my buddies left his bag stupidly unattended next to our campsite and someone walked off with his whole wad. All of us had to spot him for food and drinks and gas there and on the way home. To avoid that I would recommend stashing some bills in the car just in case.

You could always get one of those strap-on wallets that go under your shirt like that guy in eurotrip. You can hide everything in those (except your dignity). Then just walk around Roo shirtless wearing only your wallet. No one will judge (everyone will judge). No one will probably even try to rob you (everyone will likely try to rob you, at least of the aforementioned dignity).
Last year I felt like I spent like a drunken sailor (well, one of those was right) and still spent about $180 on site, but that was because the Mavs were winning a world championship and I had an excuse.
You might want to plan on spending $300 between leaving home and returning, because you'll want cash on the voyage there and back. ATMs are no problem there, but they will charge in fees.
