You're right Jess, I imagine he's got a bigger following and is more well known down there. It's just funny to me because I view him as a big favorite of mine but almost everyone I talk to is clueless/never heard of him. The dude is just amazing.

Other than Americana, and Singer songwriting circles he is really not that well known in the south either. It is just because he lives and plays here so much people are aware of him.

Heard Todd Snider on "Mountain Stage," a weekly live broadcast from West Virginia Public Radio. He's fun to listen to.
This needs to happen if only for this simple irony: if they played a late night set, a thousand metalheads would confuse everyone with their response to the question, "So what are you going to do tonight?"

These additions are completely meh to me. Where's the...bluegrass....Well, other than Trampled by turtles(bluegrass).... Reggae - Toots, a Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse
Uhhhh...
Damn...image fail. Insert "not sure if serious" jpg.
Good job misquoting me. If you had read my post you would've seen that I listed reggae and jamtronica as well as bluegrass and a list of artists in each category, which you would've had to seen to quote me so poorly.
On a side note, I'm liking that gap in jimmy cliff's schedule. Come on roo give us some legit reggae.

Esperanza Spalding has time off her schedule between a couple of European dates and Ottawa Jazz Fest. Some jazz at Bonnaroo would be sweet in an afternoon tent plus I could start posting pics in the Beautiful Ladies Playing Bonnaroo thread.

I don't know if this guy is touring with SBTRKT the whole time but he would be a nice small add. Been listening to them last week or so since I found out they were opening for him. It would be a good small add.
Sorry if someone already said them...
Guess this is how he started... pretty cool. I think its him.
