Jumped for joy seeing the Temper Trap on there. Best set on the first day in 2010.
I have heard this alot but I really enjoyed Neon Indian, Local Natives, Fanfarlo and the XX from Thursday 2010. Those 4 really stood out. Kinda sad on being shut out on all 4, especially with so many Thursday 2010 bands on this line up.
very much agree! though i enjoyed the temper trap set that year i would place other that day above it. all personal preference of course...
Fun's new album is total garbage, but Aim and Ignite is actually pretty solid in my opinion. Still won't be seeing this band, as I'm sure they'll be sticking to new crap.
4 additions in the top 27 acts is something out of the norm. With this being just a small first wave of additions I think we might see the best group of additions we have ever seen. I do think that they released these because most of them had already leaked, but still is nice to get more names on the lineup.
NO reggae anywhere on the initial lineup or additions......sad.
Thank You! I'm not asking for the biggest names out there, I just want them to quit neglecting an entire genre of music like they've done the past 2 years. They're treating reggae likes its country music all of a sudden.
And Bonnaroo won't feel the same if Galactic isn't there. I know I've been spoiled, but this would have been their 10th Bonnaroo performance and no doubt it would have been special
Glad everyone seems excited about the additions. I think I'll enjoy Cave Singers

I was completely out of the loop today, and just found out about the additions. Personally, I'm pretty stoked, especially for Santigold, Puscifer and The Cave Singers. I'd be more excited for Danzig Legacy, but I only want to see the Misfits portion of the set.
I'm very happy with Santigold and Puscifer. Danzig, The Cave Singers, and The Temper Trap are also very good additions. It's a shame they'll be wasting a tent slot on fun. I do agree that it will be Neon Trees 2.0 though. Here's hoping for another couple good adds throughout the week!
5/16 - Father John Misty
6/6 - The National/Dirty Projectors
6/10 - Animal Collective
6/13-6/16 - Bonnaroo
6/24 - Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers

And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Saw Fun. a couple years ago. They were okay but nothing spectacular. I liked Aim & Ignite some, but haven't given their new album a listen yet. Probably won't be seeing them, inless this new album blows me away somehow. Solid adds though!

Seriously peeps? I cant believe you can bash Fun and not be complaining about The Beach boys or friggin Ben Folds Five! I actually teared up today with joy when I read the add ons.. DANZIG yes As well as Temper Trap, Santagold , The Cave Singers and Puscifier that is by my book a stellar addition!!! I can't wait it just keeps getting better and better.

Out of all the artists on the lineup you pick The Beach Boys and Ben Folds Five to bash? Really? When you had acts like Skrillex, Mac Miller, Childish Gambino or SOJA readily available to you for bashing?

To me, it seems clear that Puscifer won't be in the same tent as the other bands you guys are mentioning. Remember what Maynard said in the interview? He said he was NOT going to be at Roo because he didn't want to be in the same one as Alice or Danzig. To me, it seems like Roo probably cut a deal so that he purposely wouldn't play with those too. He said he hates how everything he does is compared to Tool, so putting his non-Tool band in a tent with two other commercial hard rock artists is probably the total opposite of what he wants.
On a side note, these are definitely the biggest adds they've ever had. Last year, I remember the two biggest adds being NOFX and Galactic, and I don't think either were in the top 25 (I could be wrong though). This year's are pretty awesome, as I would see most of them (other than Cave Singers, that I've never heard of, and Santigold, who I'm seeing with RHCP).
Upcoming shows:
4/18 - Zeds Dead
4/27 - STS9
4/30 - Suicidal Tendencies
5/1 - The Black Crowes
5/2 - A Day to Remember
5/3 - Smashing Pumpkins
5/8 - Phoenix
5/10 - Borgore
5/11 - Clutch
5/16-19 - Hangout Music and Arts Festival
5/25 - Sunset Music Festival
5/26 - Yngwie Malmsteen
6/3 - Killswitch Engage
6/7 - Fleetwood Mac
6/13-16 - BONNAROO
I love the pick up of Temper Trap and Puscifier! Both bands offer a lot of versatility to the lineup and should really work well. Give me a Head and The Heart addition and I may stroke out before the actual festival.
Hopefully the addition of Glenn Danzig will be a wise one. Just heard about that nonsense he pulled at last year's Fun Fun Fun Fest. From the sound of that scenario, he could be this year's Kanye.
