Cause those dudes used to be in a punk band and that fits the "tent opener" theme that Roo seems to roll with where they open tents with world music type stuff. Who else would fit better?
Anything with a little more edge makes sense to me. Cave Singers, Devil Makes Three, Kvelertak.
Mariachi always worked better with Dawes and stuff like that to me.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Yeah, they're opening for Tune-Yards, so I imagine they'll play in the same tent.
I thought Mariachi El Bronx was a punk band. Bonnaroo has typically grouped together punk with metal and the harder/heavier stuff.
Kvelertak (12:45-1:45) > The Devil Makes Three (2:15-3:15) > Bad Brains (3:45-4:45) > Flogging Molly (5:15-6:30) > Alice Cooper (7:00-8:30) >>>> Puscifer (12:00-1:30) > Danzig Legacy (2:00-4:00)
I don't think Danzig is a lock for a two hour set. I know what his bio on bonnaroo.com says, but that's just a general press release about the project.

and according to funfunfunfest folklore, you really can't count on anything with danzig
You think we're actually gonna be able to hear him when THIS song is on?
I won't be seeing them but this is a completely fair point. Folks will be yelling their heads off. Maybe some of the other stuff they play will be more within his range and they put on a good show for u guys.
Last night my wife was wandering around humming that song. When asked "why?" she responded it was the catchiest song she had heard in years.
I can't let her know that they are playing. I'm a soulless b*stard, I know.

Good luck with that Gland. Better just avoid centeroo completely when they are playing.

I'm really, really surprised to see fun. so low as well. Their single and album have been in Spotify's top 3 for weeks now.
So we now expect any band with a single hit song from a car commercial to get high billing at one of the biggest festivals in the nation? I'd say their track record has earned them exactly the billing they got and deserve
Chill out homie, haha. I wasn't even aware that their song was in a car commercial, and I clearly stated that their album has been in the Top 3 on Spotify for weeks now...and they still have a ton of bands with way less name recognition above them.

Devil Makes Three? They play bluegrass, that makes even less sense in a metal/punk tent than Mariachi el Bronx to me.
Maybe White Denim? They have a little more upbeat rock sound to them but most people seem to think they're playing on Thursday
Kvelertak>White Denim>Bad Brains>Flogging Molly>Alice Cooper >>> Puscifer > Danzig maybe?

So is your wife listening to your Spotify right now? Cause facebook is showing a certain song that you're listening to right now.

Jumped for joy seeing the Temper Trap on there. Best set on the first day in 2010.
I have heard this alot but I really enjoyed Neon Indian, Local Natives, Fanfarlo and the XX from Thursday 2010. Those 4 really stood out. Kinda sad on being shut out on all 4, especially with so many Thursday 2010 bands on this line up.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
