I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
How was the Boston show?!?! I couldn't make the details work to make the trip down to beantown....
quacking awesome. I was right on the rail in front of his drum kit so I got to see everything he was doing. So much fun.
My favorite part about seeing a upcoming Roo artist early is answering this question, hopefully you can answer it for me since I couldn't make it... Were they so good you HAVE to see them again at Roo, or can you now see someone else if there's a conflict because you've already seen their show?

I will 100% be trying to see him again and will try to be as close as I was before. The only way I see myself not at this show is if it's up against FlyLo who I've never seen.
Just got back from the SBTRKT show. I had high hopes going in tonight, and they blew those expectations out of the water.
SBTRKT and Sampha not only love what they do, but they make damn well sure the audience enjoys it every step of the way. I fell in love with his self titled last year, and my one concern was can they take that sound and elevate it and make it a party in a live setting.
Not that y'all had any doubts, but ladies and gentleman, their act goes beyond delivering. Take everything you love about the studio work, imagine it all performed live, and multiply it by 10, if not more. I cannot WAIT to see the crowd at Roo. My little behind did not stop moving from opening to end. They played around 90 minutes, and the crowd and the duo loved each and every minute of it.

I live in Milwaukee, but I'll be in Chicago tomorrow visiting family when SBTRKT is in Madison. It'd be much easier for me if the tour dates were flipped.

those versions of wildfire and pharos were killer last night. im hoping they get a longer time slot for roo though. i wanted to see them jam out a little more.
Anybody have their SBTRKT masks together yet? I know there's been a bunch of talk and some members have found masks here and there...any pics to share?
Love the idea of a Inforoo mask invasion at this set...
I was kind of bummed that he busted out that Drake remix but otherwise I thought his coachella set looked solid as hell.
I felt the same way about that at first, but the Drake verse didn't last too long and it was pretty sick from there. They are going to kill a late night tent.

I leave (mostly) for a few week and this thread drops to the second page? For shame!
Anyway, at Coachella two weeks ago something pretty funny and CPTL LTTR related happened to me. There was a guy wearing a shirt that said STRKRF and within a few second I went from almost high-fiving him for his SBTRKT shirt to realizing there was an F and thinking it was a STRFCKR shirt, and then finally realizing it was a MSTRKRFT shirt but his backpack straps were covering the first and last letters. I immediately thought of this forum and all the fun we've had with this stylization.
