Okay, this will be my first visit to the farm, but weren't there more bluegrass/banjo-playing acts as well as more music out of New Orleans in previous years ?
The New Orleans acts are usually part of the additions. There are some on there already though. I'll always expect Galactic
Don't forget peeps, they will announce more acts in the coming months. Hell, Jimmy Buffett was announced a couple of days out from Roo. Lots of things can happen between now and June. I think it is a great lineup and I'm extremely happy with the undercard. Check out some of the bands you don't know in the lineup and you might find your next favorite band. Expand your musical horizons a bit and enjoy the ride.
It's basically a big jamming session w/ several different artists playing that year. You never really know who's going to play, who's going to show up, etc. etc....It'

wait until you people see the king of limbs stuff live. its unreal. some people dont feel that album yet, but you will. i was at the roseland shows and the kol stuff is insane.
the 2nd drummer adds a ton and thom has fully turned into a psychedelic shaman. people will be blown away (even if youve seen them before)
I was there at the Roseland shows too. Lotus Flow, Codex were amazing live. And Supercollider and Daily Mail blew me away. I can only imagine how perfect it will sound in June, after playing it consistently through the first leg of their tour.

I will never understand how people who live in Nashville, Knoxville, or anyplace else within a 3-hour radius don't go to this regardless of how great/not great the lineup is. It's such a minimal amount of travel, it blows my mind.
I live about 2 hours away from Manchester and being close does help a lot, but still when tickets are $250 and you work part time and pay for school it makes it difficult.
Also in response to the Beach Boys comments I will say I got to see them about a year and a half ago and it was a ton of fun if you're a Beach Boys fan but if you don't care for them one way or the other chances are you will really dislike them live.
