Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
Do any of you Bonnaroo vets know what each other look like? I see you guys on here everyday talking like old, old friends, but I was curious to know if any of you have ever actually met
Don't be fooled. I hate every single person on here.
A LOT of us have met in real life. Come to the brunch on Friday morning and you will meet a lot of us there.
There will probably be over 200 inforoosters there.
I'll be there. Where exactly will it be held?
Probably the northeastern corner of Tent Only. This is where we traditionally set up Camp Inforoo and hold the brunch. It will probably be the same this year. we will know for sure prior to the festival.

I haven't met any of you yet. THIS YEAR I WILL, THOUGH. I wandered around in 2010 trying hopelessly to find the inforoo brunch with a bag of Sun Chips, and ended up sitting down and eating the whole bag by myself dejectedly. They were delicious.

LOL, because of Inforoo, I have some of the best real life friends. We meet up every year at Roo, more for our friendship than the music some years.
I usually don't care about any of the headliners when I go to Bonnaroo... for me, it's almost always about the undercard. The fact that, finally, there are some headliners that I actually like, is making me SO happy. Also, 11th grade me is flipping out over Radiohead + RHCP + The Shins + Ben Folds Five + Ludacris.
11th grade you and 7th grade me had shockingly similar taste in music.

The Roots were one of the best sets in both 2003 and 2007. I have no doubt that they will once again demonstrate why they're one of the best live acts alive. I also have no doubt that they have some collaborations - BlackStar is obvious, but I could also see Luda, Kenweenie Lamar, Bon Iver, and others stopping by.
I have never and will never say anything bad about Bonnaroo. I have had a great time all 4 times I went. That being said, it's with a heavy heart that I'm not going to make it this year. Yes there a lot of bands I'd love to see, but there's also a ton of bands listed that I've already seen or have no earthly clue who they are or really just don't care to see. I was really looking forward to going this year, but I just can't justify spending that much for a ticket when I'm not really pumped about the lineup.
To those going, I hope you have the best time ever! I truly will miss being on the farm this year!!!

I will never understand how people who live in Nashville, Knoxville, or anyplace else within a 3-hour radius don't go to this regardless of how great/not great the lineup is. It's such a minimal amount of travel, it blows my mind.
No, I don't know. They're semi-catchy kinda-bluegrass kinda-rock music. Their newest, "I and Love and You," despite the retch-inducing title, is a pretty good place to start.

yup. god forbid there is anything even remotely comparable to this in the northeast every year
Personally I'm a big fan of Four Thieves Gone: The Robbinsville Sessions . The ones before and after that are awesome as well. I started off with "I and Love and You" and then went on to discover all their other stuff.
I and Love and You is good but it's a tad bit more polished than their older stuff.
Also check out their EP's.
I can put Avett's on shuffle and be happy with whatever comes up.

Most important part of your post there in bold. These ARE the bands you should be checking out. So many bands I love right now that I had never heard of before roo.
