saw him last year and his set was really hit or miss for me, but then again so are his songs. i feel like i end up liking one out of every 8-10 i hear which i guess is a better ratio than most rappers have with me.
The sound quality on the set last year was really bad. That was the biggest problem.
Agreed. I feel like that was the problem with a lot of shows last year, though. I hope they work on that this year.
The problem for me at Bonnaroo in general, but tent shows in particular, is that I'm claustrophobic and lose my mind when I'm fighting crowds. Most of the time I'm happy to hang back and enjoy the show without seeing it, but with CG I was willing to roll with the frat boys to catch a glimpse of him.
Absolutly killing it right now on the coachella webcast. He just brought out Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown. Hopefully they do lots of collaborating during roo.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Turn on the Coachella livestream NOW...Gambino is absolutely destroying the crowd right now. He just did a couple tracks with Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown. Hopefull we get a performance like this at Bonnaroo!

If Childish Gambino and Danny Brown share the stage at Bonnaroo I might pass out.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Loved when he was performing, but I felt like he was forcing the rap persona between songs, unlike his set at Bonnaroo last year, when he didn't try to.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
This would be great if CG didn't insist on uh-ing, mimicking beats, and sounding like a god damn siren every other second while Kendrick and Danny Brown are rapping.
I thought that video was awesome, and i hope they plan on doing something like this at Roo. I think the reason CG sirens and uh's were so notable was because his mic volume was louder, making it a little less enjoyable, but overall i thought it was still an awesome collaboration. Personally, CG is my number two, you may all despise and snigger all you want at me, but i had a blast last year at his concert, and i am anticipating the same thing this year. 49 more days

Out of all the acts that I wasnt familiar with when the line-up came out, this has been my favorite discovery. I actually do not listen to a lot of hip-hop but when I do, I like to listen to artist that are different from the norm and he fits that bill. I like how he mixes lyrics about his life with comedy and his delivery. I am definitely looking forward to this show.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.
