When I see a picture like that, it makes me wonder if the majority of the crowd thinks the pit is for VIP so they don't even bother with it. This misunderstanding is very advantageous.
Say what?!
What confuses you? The pit is a quarter of the way empty. There's a huge crowd behind it. If you know what you're doing, you can exit the pit after a show, get right back in line, and go in again. A lot of people don't even bother with it, so they must think it is VIP only.

Guys I just wanted to commend how admirably you both handled that situation. Although I've never seen ITM throw a punch at anyone on the board, I swear I thought he was about to go off. But you both came to a reasonable conclusion that is rarely seen around these parts
I wish I could give both of you diddly swag
Mature adults on a message board? how do they work?
played a tiny ass venue in Pittsburgh last time he was here...at the height of his popularity in his hometown and a college town. There wont be more people for his set then Wiz's and Wiz's set was hardly packed. But alas, I suppose it depends on the schedule and what bands are surrounding him
Wait, I'm confused. Didn't Mac Miller sell out two nights at Stage AE? That's the biggest indoor (non-arena) venue in Pittsburgh; where could he have been moved to aside from Ches-A-Rena or the Belle Vernon Ice Garden (not sure if Ches-A-Rena is even bigger than Stage AE)?
Yes yes, I know this conversation died long ago. I'm more interested in what you would think would be a big draw venue in Pittsburgh moreso than two sold out nights at Stage AE (asides from Consol and several outdoor venues).

The best part about Mac Miller is that he's better than all of the other fratty rappers out there (with Childish Gambino being the exception). I would take Mac anyday over Sammy Adams, Asher Roth, or Chiddy Bang.

Flame me all you want...I hope I am the only on there to see his show. I have been to two Mac Miller shows and enjoy each one. I enjoy his music 100%. But I just dont get why you have to hate if you dont like him. If you dont, dont go. I dont go around making threads talking shit about Radiohead. Just because I dont like them, doesnt mean I am going to bash them.

The thing is, as easy as it is to hate on him, Mac Miller is a GOOD emcee. Yes, he has a good amount of corny pop songs. Yes, he often raps about stuff that appeals to frat boys. But those things aside, he is ABSOLUTELY a legit rapper. Not some major label pop star who got over via tons of money and the best producers. He grinded for years, put out a bunch of mixtapes, shot a ton of low budget videos, toured the country, and def earned his "backpack" stripes. And skills wise, he's better than a big percentage of known rappers out today. You're not very familiar with the majority of his catalog if you don't at least give him that. Maybe it's not that Mac Miller is terrible. Maybe you just don't really like hip-hop that much.
I saw him at Hangout. Its not my cup of tea normally, but I had fun at this show. Maybe it was just timing, maybe it was the energy of the crowd around me, maybe it was the gin hitting me from 4 hours of drinking at that point, but I did enjoy it.
As for his talent: He certainly was smooth and showed flashes of brilliance. Broke into some super fast stuff and he pulled it off flawlessly.
I am not a fan, mostly because I don't care for rap much, outside of some stuff I like for nostalgic reasons. I wouldn't see him again, but to blindly dismiss him as talentless and lame just isn't accurate.
All of that aside, watching the "Donald Trump" video makes me want to set my hair on fire and punch myself in the face. He comes off as such a lame fucktard wannabe skidmark.
