Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.

Really? The difference between 2 Phish shows and 1 Phish show is the deciding factor of whether you attend Bonnaroo? lol
Well when you are a phan trying to decide between catching 3-4 phish shows or going to bonnaroo, it's not a totally absurd basis on which to make an attendance decision.
ugh I want to like Phish I really do...Ive tried numerous times. I appreciate them all as individual artists (Ill probably be at the Trey show on valentines day) but theres just something missing for me. Ive had 2 bad experiences with their fans at the 3 shows Ive been to. If they close the festival, I usually leave before the Sunday headliner anyway so this will let me keep that tradition.

There will always be bad apples at any show, but Phish shows from my experience always have some of the most friendly, peaceful fans who want nothing but to boogy down with their favorite band! It normally takes someone more than just a song or single show (3?) to "get" Phish, hopefully you can learn to love them like I once did!
Spotify has a lot of the official live releases, check out 7/4/10 for a good current one.
Currently what I'm listening too, when I stumbled upon this comment. I'm really enjoying it. Jess, ever since you suggested I start with vol. 2 I have been listening to these sets non stop. Just wanted to say thanks again! I particularly enjoyed vol. 14.

Depending on scheduling it could count me out for most of Bonnaroo this year. Seeing the big act you want on Sunday when you are tired is not really optimal. If there is southeastern touring around Bonnaroo I may just go to Phish shows, then run by Manchester and buy a bracelet for 20 dollars from someone who is leaving

It's not THE deciding factor, but it's a major one. Look, I went to Bonnaroo last year for the first time since 2004 and had the time of my life. I also stayed at my campsite for 2 of the 3 headliners. With that said though, the undercard was extremely strong.
I'll probably go regardless, but knowing that Phish has 2 shows will surely help

I find it very hard to believe they'll give Phish one set. I find it very likely that they'll give Phish 2 normal sets Sunday night. One show, two sets is my guess.
The symphony show was awesome, save for the beer bottles getting knocked over, the ill-timed "I love you Trey", and the race to applaud before the song ended... sometimes WELL before. The dude proposing was actually kind of touching.

The main consensus is they'll have one show (two sets) instead of the 2 shows like they did in 2009. I agree, I would rather be able to rage Phish on Friday or so rather than limp my way through the Sunday sets ;D
Actually, TTE is fantastic with the full orchestra. Seriously.
i enjoy the studio version with the full orchestra. the phish version feels rushed, and IMO there is too much singing. I think if the piece was an instrumental, with maybe just a lyric or two in there, it might be treated more kindly by fans.
I am in the minority, I love TTE, the version in cinci 09 was amazing. I wish they had not shelved it.
Phish knows their fans. If they shelve it for long enough, eventually people will be clamoring to hear it, then they'll bust it out and everyone will go gorillas.
Phish curious or noobs...If you have spotify, do yourself a favor and listen to this all the way through (link below)...it really shows what they are capable on any given night, great jams (Tweezer, Ghost), good funk (most), raging rock (Fire, Johnny B Goode, Character Zero), and the epitome of Phish (Reba, Down With Disease, You Enjoy Myself)
Trey will be playing tonight with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra..local radio station released this interpretation of the Heinz Hall (uppity cultural district) email. Funny stuff
