That's why you guys should just ignore the clues until they get solved
This one is the one that broke me. I just couldn't get my head around it not being Battles.
Same. I was like "great, Battles - awesome job, the logic works, blah blah blah," then Gary was like "oh, wait - I don't want anyone here to actually think they've solved them, let me throw a monkey wrench in your operation" with that "not ice cream" nonsense. After that I've just been guessing David Bowie for everything.

At least he gave it to us now, this could have gone unsolved until line-up time when he would give us the answer along with the rest of them. We would still be mad then, but this way we know Battles is going to be there early which is great considering they were a definite on my want list.
I now officially won't be shut out of the lineup predictions contest!
I also know basically nothing about these guys. Does it matter which album I start with? There's only two so I can't imagine it being that big of a deal which one.
The main difference is that the vocalist left after Atlas. There are still vocals on Gloss Drop, but they're of the sampled/guest variety. Some people don't like it as much. I think they're both pretty great. Either way, several of us saw them at Moogfest this year, and I am pretty sure everyone agrees it was an awesome show. Unless there's something pretty amazing against them, I will be at their show.
