This is absolutely untrue. The government invests the social security trust fund's surplus revenue (when it exists) in treasury bills which earn interest for the trust fund. Otherwise the fund has never been touched.
Really we do have enough oil yet we give it away .
Do you want a socialized oil industry? This is the only way to ensure all oil produced in the US stays here. Plus, an energy policy that relies heavily on oil can never truly result in energy independence due to the global nature of the oil industry. Even if only domestic oil is used in this country the prices for it will still be affected by global oil supply, demand and other factors.

He's such an idiot, and looks like he hasn't slept in a month. He probably wants this campaign to end more than anyone.
What's even funnier is at least 1/2 of that 47% will likely vote for Mitt even though he literally just insulted them twice over the past few days and basically said he doesn't give a f*ck about winning their vote, insinuating they're already in Obama's camp, even though an equal-or-greater amount were in Romney's, at least before he told them all to go f*ck off.

The social security disability fund and the social security old age and survivors fund are totally separate.

What I don't get about Romney's whale-level donors in re: this Mother Jones video is whether they're actually stupid enough to believe what he's telling them--which seems impossible, on average, given their financial success--or whether they're simply smiling and nodding along, happy in the knowledge that he's just proven himself to be the totally amorphous and malleable candidate they were hoping for, basically a Schmoo, who will say/do anything they want once he's in office.
I can't help but wonder how many of those 47% don't pay into the income tax system because there's not enough jobs, full-time work or well-paying jobs because some dick at a hedge fund decided their job would be better off shipped to China or elsewhere.
