I've been hoping to see them on the farm for the past few years. Saw them this past May and they blew me away. I'd suggest everyone checking them out. One of my favorite recent acts, and they've got such amazing energy.

I would ask Superfly and AC. They're jerks for the most part, but maybe if you ask them nicely enough they can make it happen for you.
strange response....
I got something similar about five or six years ago from Great Big Sea's booker. Implied that they were told that they weren't cool enough. (Paraphrasing.)

Has anyone tried Andrew WK? I tweeted him, but received no response. However, he's been quite diligent at replying to tour questions from his fans via Twitter (he has already claimed more tour dates are on their way). I'm sure if enough of us asked him, he'd give a response to one of us.

I saw Das Rascist last year in a poorly attended club and it was interesting to say the least. Their flow sucks live. The songs are almost unrecognizable and they didn't play any of the ones I wanted to hear. They had a loud ass air horn that they used relentlessly. They were drunk off their ass and swilling beer like crazy.
However, their shtick kinda worked. They were rowdy and unserious. It was a punk show.
The best part was when this drunk white dude in an Afro wig started getting pissed because they were up on his girl who up against the stange flaunting herself. They were in mid rhyme when Heems just duffed him with a beer bottle. A flash of chaos ensued but they never stopped rapping. The just free flowed a bunch of crazy insulting shiz, like it was part of the act, while the dude and his crew were removed. It was fascinating.
Not sure this translates to a good roo show though.
Hey Juggs remember when you had the inside scoop that Basement Jaxx was going to be at Bonnaroo a few years ago? Haha...
Was it Basement Jaxx? Or someone similar?
That was last year (I think). Yeah, my buddy who tends to know such things said that apparently Basement Jaxx was putting together a tour which was going to include "two major U.S. festivals" or something like that. As the Coachella lineup had already been announced, the word was that they were going to play Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. I'm still really bummed this didn't happen, I would kill to see them live.
