Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Last year, Fitz basically said they were playing every musical festival, so COS added them to Lolla, Coach, ACL, and 'Roo at the same time as "Expected." I think they are a definite for this year, add a tally to my contest list.

^ That's incredible news! I love them, and for some reason they had never crossed my mind when it came to Bonnaroo! Good find, can't wait for that show!
If you have never seen them live, make sure you clear your schedule for these guys. I have never been moved as emotionally by live music as I was by The Civil Wars. Just spectacular live show for a duo.
No indication of any upcoming North American tour + confirmed at Coachella = Tune Yards will be at Roo. Wouldn't surprise me if they went to as many fests as possible this year/summer.

if chad smith has taught us anything from now on we only ask less important band members if they r playing on twitter. they probably get less tweets and r more likely to respond. lets keep it to drummers, bass players, and keyboards people
emailed DFA1979's management asking if they are touring in the summer or playing bonnaroo gotta reply back saying "no plans"
edit: i actually asksed them "if they have plans to tour this summer or might be playing bonnaroo" to which they replied "no plans" so read into that how you want

My mom happens to be friends with Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes) and I got her to ask her if they'd be playing Bonnaroo this year. Her answer: "we'll see". I take this as a "yes". Hopefully I'm right. The band can put on a damn good show. Mid-tier Thursday band I assume

BAD NEWS: Raekwon and the Wu Tang Clan will almost certainly not be at roo this year. I continued my scam pretending to be booking shows today and Raekwons management told me that they would be able to book a show the weekend of roo at my theater in omaha imageshack.us/photo/my-images/607/raekwonphoto.png/
but this worked pretty well guy responded instantly. i suggest more people try it
I suggest people not to lie and/or pretend that they are booking shows. Booking agents have enough work at this moment and if we ask them about availablity just because we're fans they may or may not answer us, but in most cases as this thread proves, the agents answer.
Please don't lie as when they find out, they won't answer us anymore. If you're a booking agent you also won't like people asking you about fake shows, but you might answer a fans question as it may help sell an extra ticket.

i would disagree with that statement completely manders. what this thread shows is only the agents who respond. what it doesnt show are the dozen plus agents I have emailed twice with no response, or the 100 tweets I have sent out without a response.

Just stop pretending to book artists if you're not. You're just creating extra work for these agents while WE just want to know if they are playing or not.
EVERYONE (except for you) in this thread mails because they are fans. No one cares if an agent doesn't reply, we care about the mails we do get. Don't "force" agents in telling you that they are or are not playing.
If an agents wants to tell you, they will. If they don't, leave it at that.

I'm going to have to side with Belgium on this one. I think that could really backfire if it happened a lot and appeared to be sanctioned by these boards.

Also, I've never listened tot he Civil Wars, but the overall opinion here seems very positive. Where should I start? The EPs or LP? I'll have to check it later though since I'm at work now.

That's my problem with it. Tweeting and emailing is one thing, pretending to be something you're not is a whole other.

I received confirmation last month from their booking agent that they will be there.
