So wait, people are stoked about The Black Keys? I mean, I love them, but that's 3 years in a row... they're really good, but c'mon with some more variety.
I think you're confusing The Black Lips with The Black Keys

This thread has pretty much destroyed my hope at winning the prediction contest. I don't remember exactly who I had on there, but I know Justice, M83, Portugal. the Man and a few more from here were on there. Throw in that Phish will be there, which pretty much excludes Furthur, and I'm screwed. Oh well, AC always has more than a few surprises up their sleeves.
Justice's management really responded to an email with only "No."? That seems fishy in itself (not you Belgian Manders, but the reply).
In fact, I wouldn't take any of the No's that don't come with further explanation (will be on tour elsewhere, will be taking the year off, will be in the studio making a new album, etc.) with more than a grain of salt. For all we know, the artist hasn't been contacted yet, wants to add to the surprise (they still want you to buy tickets to see their other shows too), or doesn't want to piss off the festival booking companies who ask these artists to remain hush.

Or the management of a popular worldwide act has better things to do than write out long winded responses to every random person that emails them about playing _____ fest or city...

Saw Matt and Kim with Body Language and Super Mash Bros on NYE. During Matt and Kim I went up to one of the balconies because the bar lines were shorter up there. Saw the guys from Super Mash were hanging out up there after their set. I got to ask Nick if they were playing Roo. He said "I have no idea." And that's my big time inside information =D
There was a bootleg poster and/or tshirt floating around last year that had Kurt Vile on it. I found it strange that, as far as I could tell, he was the only act on the poster/shirt that wasn't actually on the lineup.
However, relevant to the conversation, I could very well see Kurt Vile booked for Thursday night. Was there a fall out when he left The War on Drugs? I could see them the same night, maybe same stage.

I hope there wasn't! I'd love for him to do a sit-in with them.
