Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Bisco if they are still touring come summer. Other than that I have never heard of a set approaching anything like 5-6 hours at Bonnaroo. moe. played a really long time in 09 though they might be the longest I know of.
As for other bands the Greyboy Allstars will usually play as long as they have an audience. Also Vince Hermans Great American Taxi has been known to play shows all night long if they are properly motivated. I am not sure either of these bands are together but I saw Telepath play at a little Asheville festival back in 08 for 6+ hours and that was pretty amazing, also Pnuma Trio will play for really long time if given the chance.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
Bisco needs to take a break from Bonnaroo. UM and Lotus need to bring the sun up.
moe. played 1:30 to 6. so it was 4.5 hours but with the 30 minute Grace Potter segue in the middle they really only did 4, which is still a really long time. i don't think any band would be capable of doing a 5-6 hour show without taking a 30 minute to an hour set-break.
and to echo sda i don't think i could handle a 6 hour show either. that moe. show was hard enough.
I don't understand the whole "I can't handle a six hour set." If you get tired then bail in the middle. It's not like you have to stay for the whole six hours to have a good time.

Or just check out part of it. I watched Gogol this year then drifted over for a bit of STS9 before heading back to camp. I wouldn't watch a super long STS9 set, but it was certainly great to chill with it a little to calm down after Gogol.

love this thread and the direction its taking... lotus! however id totally be down for moe, bisco, and ummmm tooo
id never make the complete set though... my draw to bonnaroo and the reason its brought me back 9 straight years is the fact that i can wonder between stages and catch a part of a bunch of sets... every now and again ill wonder into something and stay but i never have a plan

Exactly what I did.
After seeing Umphrey's a couple times this year, those boys could definitely play for a good 4 hours straight. Here's hoping to see them do it this year.

Not a fan really, but that is a pretty good answer.
I think a 5 to 6 hour hip-hop set with the Roots and a ton of guests would be fun. I think I've seen similar discussed on this board before. With enough guests, I think it could be done.
UM is due a latenight set. They could easily play 4 hours or so. I think however that a 6 hour set is too much for anyone. However, if it were UM I would stick around for the whole thing.
