Recently signed on with Universal & Columbia Records. Headlining fests in Spain, Japan & Scotland in 2012. And I wouldn't doubt Coachella grabs em here soon. Though I know it's a long-shot, I'd love to get them down on the Farm for a stoney Friday night set.

Stone Roses were f_ing brilliant 20 years ago. I think I still own just about everything they released.
I got into the Madchester thing really hard back in the heyday of it — in fact, I'm positive I saw Oasis at one of their very first gigs. I was more of a Happy Mondays fan out of the bunch, but they went to hell quickly with the dr*gs and all.
But I have my doubts as to how the Roses will sound today. Fifteen years apart in today's music is like two lifetimes. If the reviews are good, I say three thumbs up for a 'Roo spot. But I don't recall the Roses touring the U.S. even when they were huge in the U.K.
Playing Northside the week after won't necessarily eliminate the Roses, but I see them hitting the U.K. and Europe first and coming here later in 2012 or in 2013.

I pretty much agree with you. I'd love to see them - that first album and the whole Madchester scene had a huge influence on me, even way over here in the states - but roo just seems unlikely due to the timing.
I saw them at Benicássim last year in Spain and they were alright. I'm not a huge fun but they were fun. I'm not sure if I would want to see them again, though.
