screw MLB. frisbee golf is where its at plus its every hippy's favorite sport. with all that land i believe its possible to set up more than a few holes. i would love to see frisbee golf at bonnaroo.
First of all.... not frisbee golf.... DISC golf...
and there are tons of people who would love this. My brother has a dream of a course being set up around the venue so you would basically circle the whole farm while playing... but he's silly.
I think just a few baskets would be completely doable... sort of like a driving range. Innova could be a sponsor

I think that is a great idea. At Wakarusa last year I played 2 or three times and it was great. Gave you something a little extra to do during the day.

I don't know if I'm usually in the wrong place at the wrong time or what, but I never see mass games of Frisbee going on at the roo. The most I've seen is 2-3 people playing in centeroo or 4-5 people playing in the campground. ULTIMATE FRISBEE FTW!
i've disced almost every year I've been at roo, all you gotta do is get a few friends, or inforooers to bring their basket and bada boom! you can make your own course! Beware of little children though!

To all disc golfers: there are five great courses in the Nashville/Smyrna/Murfreesboro area just north of Manchester that you should check out on your way down, they aren't far off the interstate, search area code 37130 on pdga.com for details. The best in my opinion is Cedar Hill in Nashville, but Twin Oaks and Sharp Springs are also excellent and very challenging.
Has anyone ever seen any special edition Bonnaroo golf discs anywhere? I kept my eyes open the last two years and didn't see anything, but I know they are out there somewhere. There should be an official Innova or Discraft tent set up somewhere. I have the last two years official Bonnaroo ultimate discs, the 06 one is a sweet glo in the dark version.
My friends and I always try and organize an Ultimate game next to the Other Tent, but it usually ends up being a giant catch circle, I've seen upwards of 20 people playing at once. Sometimes we play at the back of What Stage during the day, but you have to be pretty accurate to aviod hitting the crowds.

I think THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!! My buddies and brother went down last summer and man was it a scorcher but we thought there should've been Frolf too. We're from Columbus ohio and I met some people in line the first nite from cleveland who had some great orange juice but anyways frisbee golf is where its at. Theres like 6 courses in the columbus area and we've played them all in a day a couple times which is great so the bigger the better. I love the idea about the course wrapping around the whole venus that would be sweet. I went through some woods that we were parked next to last year and they should use those, except way farther down close to the main path is the septic tank cleaner area. Oh ya and I heard that at wakarusa the dea fbi drug cop narc taskforce setup their main camera watching truck right in the middle of the course there and also had cameras apparently rigged up everywhere doing random busts, But frolf would be great at the roo. It would get people talking more, its a good way to calm down someone, and its relaxing and actually good for you. ANyways lets keep this one going, is there anyways to make this some big thread to get some attention?
dude, you should hook-up with my brother. He's a fanatic too.
We were at Bisco latenite Roo06, my brother sees a guy with an Innova hat on and in the middle of the most crucial groove thundering all around them, they stood there and talked about courses in the South, their approach to the basket, and of course their individual throwing technique...
IN THE MIDDLE OF BISCO LATENITE!!!!! .... like there was nothing else going on...

I think Wakarusa has a frisbee golf course. 'Roo needs to get on this. I remember therm saying they were going to build permenant structures on the farm, hopefully this will be one of them.

Maybe in '06, but there was nothing like that last year. They were given those cameras that year to "test" at no charge. There wil NEVER be cameras at Waka again. I can promise you that. Wakarusa has really done a good job of creating a great Festival, even after the chaos of 2006. And yes, Waka has 2 disc golf courses, and you can even hear the Campground stage from the one course.

I am going to bring my discatcher this year.
Also going to bring cones and a few extra ultimate disc's and see if we can get a rotating ultimate game going. Have people play as many or as few points as they want, when one person leaves another person can step in there place.
A great place for ultimate is down by the comedy tent, the area is kinda flat and close enough to "THAT" you can listen to the band while playing ultimate.
It would be awesome to have a ultimate game going all weekend long and then we could have the longest constant ultimate game. I think the old record is less than 48hr.

Actually it's called Frolf . And 10K had professionally built one you could play for free. I love frolf even though I am horrible, there's a course literally a 2 min walk from my house at school and I try to go as often as possible. A nine hole course at Roo would be too cool.

disk golf at roo has my vote. my second favorite disk sport is smokin' poles. you put 2 stakes about 20 feet from each other and set an empty beer bottle on the top of each stake. the goal is to knock your opponents bottle off without them catching the bottle of the frisbee before they hit the ground. my friends and i playing in my creek last labor day
