Great riverfront festival, May 4th-6th. Amazing deal for a solid, 3-day fest. Line-up will be announced March 1st. I'm grabbing the $65 tix with the hope MMJ headlines. Hope to see some of you down in Memphis this Spring.
Probable Acts include:
MMJ Primus Jane's Addiction Herbie Hancock Al Green Buddy Guy Jerry Lee Lewis Megadeth The Cult Robert Randolph & the Family Band Chris Robinson Brotherhood Florence & the Machine Grace Potter & Nocturnals North Mississippi Allstars Michael Franti & Spearhead Son Volt Girl Talk Big KRIT Lupe Fiasco Wiz Khalifa Childish Gambino Pitbull Three 6 Mafia Dumpstaphunk Black Lips Old 97s The Head & the Heart Allison Krauss Anthony Hamilton Kenny Wayne Shepherd Johnny Winter Gary Clark Jr Charles Musselwhite NEEDTOBREATHE Civil Wars Coheed & Cambria Evanescence Bush
Bah. It's always a good, crazy mix. MMJ would be worth the price alone. This year, on Fri, I caught: CageEle>Cake>MGMT>Lips/STP Sat: Lotus>New Porn>JerryLeeLewis>Mumford>Lucinda>CeeLo Sun: JJGrey>Lucero>ZiggyM>GregAllman>Avetts>Wilco... not too shabby for $60.
7/5 Fitz and the Tantrums
7/7 Circa Survive
7/9 Yonder/Railroad Earth
7/15 Deltron 3030/Kid Koala
7/26 DMB (Bristow)
7.27 Jack White
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
Checkout the BSMF's Facebook page, the bands on their liked page are the bands that will be playing (they did the same thing in 2011) MMJ.. Girl Talk.. Florence and the Machine.. Grace Potter.. Civil Wars.. Al Green..
yea if this holds true Ill be making the trip
Sweet! If you do come down, fly into Nashville so you can join us for a crazy pool party @ MikeD's!

As a MIM vet - I'm well aware of the cheesiness that this lineup usually has with it but they've stepped up their lineups the past couple years. Got my tix for the $55 weekend pass - i'm yet to find a better value in festivals. It's like they discount it just because they know the weather sucks every year.
