We'll learn a lot at Iowa and when MSU comes to town. I could honestly see IU getting a 3 or 4 seed and making a run in the tournament.
And what did we learn at Iowa? INDIANA CANNOT WIN ON THE ROAD! One game over 500 in the conference and 2-6 on the road with "wins" coming against Penn State (Beyond Terrible) and Purdue (Robbie Hummel is still there...isn't he like 55 now?). I have said it over and over...Indiana struggles on the road, they will continue to struggle on the road and hopefully, they will make the tournament. A few losses could have them out. If they lose at Minnesota (wait that's a road game, never mind)... they need to beat MSU but if they don't, they REALLY need a win against Purdue. A losing record in the Big Ten might keep them out and NIT bound, as crazy as that may sound.

Indiana "might" make the tournament? Come on man take off the blinders. If the season ended today they'd be a 5 or 6. If they lose 2 of their last 3 but win only one game in the Big Ten tournament I don't see them worse than a 6 or 7. I really don't like Crean and co. but it's pretty crazy to suggest they could miss the tourney.
Also, you keep harping on road record. Kentucky was also 2-6 on the road in conference last year, and stunningly (sarcasm) managed to reach the Final 4. Obviously I'm not saying '10 Kentucky = '11 Indiana, but road success in no way automatically translates to tournament success.

We also won the SEC tournament. I suppose you forgot those road (non-home)wins. 5-6 ended up being our SEC road record. We also lost no home games (Minnesota, really?) Finished 10-6 before the SEC tournament.
You really think IU has a chance to win the Big Ten tournament? All I said about iU was first said by Joe Linardi, Bracketologist for ESPN. If, and it would be highly unlikely they lose them all, If IU loses there next 3 conference games, they would be 8-10 in conference and very possibly NIT bound.

If they can't finish at least .500 in conference I wouldn't be at all surprised if they missed out on the tourney. The committee will put emphasis on the second half of the season and how the teams are playing heading into the post season. I think they will be in, but its not too far fetched to say they may end up a little short.

At no point did I say Indiana has a chance to win the Big Ten Tournament.
Neutral site games (which is what Kentucky was playing on in the SEC tournament last year) do not equal road games. Kentucky won 2 games on the road in conference last year.
I nominate that I would beat anyone in this thread at one on one.
I'm 6'0" and played for a small college - I could dunk back in the day - but I'm 40 now and have had enough blown ankles, dislocated fingers, etc. that I'm retired for all intensive purposes. I used to love those kind of challenges, though.

My question is this: If IU is 8-10 in conference play, do you really think they will make the tournament?
How does a neutral site game not equal a road game? You are NOT playing at home, you're playing on the road.

Perhaps but I value Neutral wins more than home wins (remember, you are SUPPOSED to win all of your home games.) To me, a home loss is something that you should never have more than one of a year.

I actually didn't even play in HS. I was a wrestler, but being born and bred in Indiana kind of makes sure that you spend entire weekends on the court.
It's hard for me to take Kentucky seriously when I honestly think they could be beaten by 5 teams in the Big Ten.
Uh which teams? Ohio State whom we beat in the tournament last year when they were better than they are now? Michigan, whom on a neutral court we would beat by double digits? Michigan State would offer a tough test but on a neutral court, it would be close and we would win because of size. Indiana on a neutral court (do I really have to answer that? Remember they hit 7 three's ina ROW at HOME and only beat us by 1 and we played our worst game of the year)...who else? Did I miss the New AP poll that has UK somewhere else other than #1? How about the coaches poll that also has UK number 1? Michigan State is the only team I could think of that would have a chance...who is your fifth? Wisconsin> (Can they even score?)
I guarantee one thing: we would NEVER lose to Iowa or Nebraska home or away.

Last nights game reminds me of just how much Kentucky is a second half team. That could spell trouble in the tournament though (Remember last year, UConn played a great first half and UK played beyond horrible. Played much better second half and actually outscored UConn in second half points but it was too little too late and Kemba played great)
Miss. St. played great last night with NOTHING to lose. This was there big game (pretty much everybody's big game when you play UK in the SEC) and UK showed patience and poise down the stretch and Miller's Senior leadership and MKG shutting down Dee Bost in the second half were key factors.

Indiana WON a ROAD game today. No you did not misread that. The Hoosiers needed this win to insure, wihtout a doubt, a place in the tournament. Yes I realize that Minnesota is terrible (5-11 in conference, 17-12 overall, NO WAY OF GOING ANYWHERE) but this team beat IU on its home court and with this win assure itself of at least an exciting 500 conference record.
Plus, I found out that the NCAA doesn't use the last games as a measuring stick anymore (7-6 in their last 13.) If the season were to stop right now, most experts have Indiana being a solid 6 seed. This is huge considering how horrible IU has been up recently up until this season (I mean TERRIBLE) and I think coach Crean should be Big Ten Coach of the Year. Remember this team last year was LAUGHABLE.

51 straight at Rupp. Ho-hum. Freshmen getting it done.
And there should no longer be any question as to Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors.
Player of the Year I agree with (assuming you mean Davis lol. I had Robinson there but wow as of late on AD!) but Coach of the Year is a three man race between Coach Cal, Mizzo Coach Frank Haith and Murray State coach Steve Prohm.

Cal is far from a sure fire win of COY. Boheim has a solid chance, leading his team to the same record and standing of UK, in a tougher conference. Frank Haith has probably impressed me the most. Izzo has done a great job this year, too. Taking a team with much less talent than the top tier programs and making them legit contenders, as usual.
