As someone who bleeds Orange and Blue, always have and always will, I will troll in here time to time to talk about our 3 pt shooters. Although, I am a Gator, yesterday I watched fans storm the court in the same building I got my BS degree from. So I can comment on this. WTF! I remember, when I was in high school we were beating a team so bad, it was agreed that we would just let the clock run the second half of the game. I don't ever remember(although it was a good idea) a team going into the locker room before the game was over. I bet the 5 UNC scrubs left on the court were like, 'WTF!? what are we chopped liver?'. That was an ass-whipping!

Yea I thought that was a bit of a bitch-move by Roy. I can understand maybe sending the players on the bench into the locker room, as well as the assistant coaches. But a head coach should stay out there, what kind of message does that send to the guys left on the court? He was clearly too embarrassed to handle himself at the moment.
He should've just followed Zeller's lead...
Also, you kids need to grow up. Indiana beat UK straight up, suck it and give credit where its due. And from the other side, its kind of pathetic anytime someone tries to argue against UK they try to make it about Calipari. As tainted as his legacy is, he has never been named in any allegations or sanctions. If you want to down UK, you can start with the fact that their glory days are well into the past, 1 final four in 15 years is nothing special.

All I can say is show and prove. It's pretty obvious to me they are back to one of the top programs, but they've yet to turn it into much. I agree its coming. My point was, that's a better argument than "BOO CALIPARI HE CHEATS OMGZZZZ!!!!!!111!!!"

i agree IU won On their home court against us. No worries there. I hope and pray we play IU in the tournament on a neutral court. TRUST me. The drubbing OSU gave you today should be a reminder. I like your coach. How many years has he "rebuilt" again at IU? Wait...didn't IU hire Kelvin Sampson? Wanna really talk about cheating? It's ok you tried...

Derrick Rose never took an SAT test, in his life. Go Cal!
For the record, I don't think someone like D-Rose should have to take an SAT, they should just verify he's smart enough to remember his 4-digit pin # and let him practice basketball for 10 hours a day.
And until I got to work I didn't realize I sproat-ed this thread with my Calipari pictures, they didn't stretch out on my laptop's screen. My bad.

How good are the Orangemen? I really have not seen them much this year. I do know Scoop Jardine seems like he's been there for 9 years (along with Robbie Hummel of Purdue)

Really good. They're REALLY athletic. Like, NBA team athletic. Just a bunch of pogo sticks, and when you go into their house that place gets rocking. I never hopped on the Cuse train like a lot of NYers now that St. John's is embarrassing, but I've always watched a lot of their games.
They are a tough matchup for anyone because they have athletic bigs, so they can play fast or slow, can go big or small, and Boeheim is a genius with working lineups to get mismatches.
Oh, and UK sucks! (Had to)
UNC back on track last night with a whooping of VA Tech (garbage points make the score look closer than it was). Kentucky, see you in March.
[quote author=juggernaut board=offtopic thread=26972 post=972072 time=1327072037 As far as Syracuse goes, I think UConn matches up with them better than any team in the Big East - big, athletic forwards and centers, and guards and forwards who can shoot and stretch the zone. Trust. [/quote]
I agree with this. I'm just tired of hearing from my idiot roommate about how awesome Drummond is, and then watch the guy (who looks like a grown ass man playing with boys) do dogsh!t for 30 minutes.

I think on a NEUTRAL court (you know, where tournament games are played) UK can beat anybody in the country. After watching most of the teams (finally saw Syracuse) I believe only teams realistically have a chance at the championship. UK, Syracuse, Ohio State, Kansas, UNC (with that last spot of UNC to be challenged by Duke. I actually had Duke there until they got beat by that apparent ACC powerhouse Florida State.)
Not sold on Baylor or Mizzou, Murray State has no height, Florida and IU cannot win on the road, Michigan is too young, Miss.St. has no coach, and Uconn looks downright lost at times. There are a couple of intriguing teams (Michigan State, UNLV, Gonzaga) that could catch lightning in a bottle and get hot come tourny time tho.

I've gotta agree on your take on the championship contenders. I think Mich St., just like every year, could get hot and make one of those Izzo runs. They play tough defense. Duke, meanwhile, has Rivers and all those three point shooters. They also have that ability to get hot for a few weeks and get to the final four. It's going to be an interesting tourney this year.
I think on a NEUTRAL court (you know, where tournament games are played)
This is exactly why road record is such a stupid indicator of how good a team is. I read something recently that all Final Four teams last year were something like 23-24 on the road combined.

You also had VCU and Butler in the Final Four last year as well, so not a good time to use that type of stat. Last year was not a typical year. I do appreciate the post though.

I don't consider myself a Huskies fan. If they win, good. If they don't, whatever. But losing to a 8-10 Tennessee team - wow. These guys are either on fire or ice cold. Barely squeaking past Fairfield and South Florida, losing to Cincy/Rutgers/Seton Hall. Not good.

Watch yourself belittling UT. Seriously though, UT doesn't have the greatest team this year, but out of the 10 losses, they only have 2 that have been double digits (Duke and Memphis), so it's not like they're getting the crap kicked out of them every game.

I feel like if anything, top mid-major teams like Butler and VCU are going to have better road records than teams from power house conferences. Butler gets to play at teams like UW-Green Bay and UIC, where UConn has to go to Syracuse/Louisville/West Virginia etc. But yeah, either way.
